Pampered by Short-Lived Bigshot

Inside the studio, in the hallway

Tang Wan followed Chen Zhi out of the office, and as soon as the door closed, he couldn’t wait to speak: ”Wanwan, Yu Zhen’s team has released news saying that we invited them to participate in the event.”

”What promises and guarantees did you make to them?”

”None, don’t I understand your intentions? I was just about to discuss this with them when the news exploded online.”

”Show me what kind of news it is.”

Chen Zhi handed her the tablet, ”Yu Zhen is livestreaming right now and talked about this matter. This is the video I captured.”

Tang Wan took the tablet and clicked to watch:

”Thank you all for your support. Regarding the matter of participating in Teacher Tang’s exhibition, it’s currently inconvenient to reveal details to everyone. However, Teacher Tang has always supported animal protection, and I hope everyone won’t follow rumors...”

”What Teacher Tang promotes has always been the inheritance of traditional culture, not urging everyone to hunt animals.”

”Please support Teacher Tang’s first solo exhibition.”

...

She was completely speaking on behalf of Tang Wan, and even a fool could hear the implication that they had already contacted privately; given the current stance she is showing, cooperation is definitely confirmed.

Tang Wan already had a rift and conflict with animal welfare people, and with Yu Zhen being a representative figure online for protecting animals, inviting her was certainly good.

Now that the news has been released, once it’s discovered that she wasn’t invited, things become very delicate.

Online, some extreme animal welfare activists might start getting agitated, saying that she is deliberately creating hype or looking down on animal welfare people, surely rumors would spread again.

She’s speaking in a very humble manner, but if I say I’m unwilling to cooperate with her, it easily makes it look like Tang Wan is bullying her.

Where did she get the impression that I didn’t want to cooperate with her? Or is there some other reason, therefore...

Preparing to leverage public opinion to force her compliance!

Actually, many brands nowadays, when cooperating with celebrities or a production coordinating with certain actors, will intentionally leave out news early on, then adjust based on market and audience reaction.

”How should we handle this?”

”Ignore her, originally we didn’t expect relying on her alone could change anything. To change people’s views on Cyan Feather, it won’t happen overnight, we should just focus on our own tasks.”

Currently, the most debated topic is the conflict between Cyan Feather and animal protection, which might need gradual effort.

...

Tang Wan returned to the office, Si Qingxiao asked her if she needed help.

”Just a small work issue, why do you two have time to be out at this hour?” Today is a weekday, Jiang Chengsi should be at work.

”Going to discuss some matters with my brother and sister-in-law.” Jiang Chengsi didn’t hide anything since the discussion was about Jiang Zhaolin.

Jiang Zhaolin came for the two brothers, and what they can handle privately doesn’t need to trouble the whole Jiang Family.

”Did you reach any conclusions?” Tang Wan poured tea for the two.

”Although severed ties, relations were never good, I even hated him...” Jiang Chengsi laughed wryly, ”But after all, he raised me and my brother, there’s a certain duty of care for him.”

Si Qingxiao nodded, ”The duty of care doesn’t change because of severed ties; the third brother, fourth brother can disown him, but when he’s old and needs help, there’s still responsibility.”

Tang Wan nodded, ”What do you plan to do then?”

”My brother and I plan to take some time to seek him out, clarifying that it’s fine to care for him, but that’s about as much as it will be.” Jiang Chengsi frankly stated.

Not to mention that Jiang Zhaolin’s appearance this time has ulterior motives, even if he sincerely repents, emotional repair requires time.

Therefore, after discussion, providing care is fine; but him wanting to return to the family and enjoy the joys of being surrounded by grandchildren is, under current circumstances, definitely impossible.

If the brothers don’t care for him, with Jiang Zhaolin’s personality, he might directly sue them, better they take initiative.

Just then, Tang Wan’s phone vibrated, it was Jiang Jinsang calling.

”I’m done with work now, ready to go over and pick you and Mutang up for dinner, are you done?”

”I’m done, come over.”
