Pampered by Short-Lived Bigshot

Lin Luyou was about to speak, but was stopped by the police officer, who whispered to her, ”This guy’s name is Geng Dong. His family has some money, and he’s quite overbearing. You better not clash with him.”

Sometimes when you encounter unreasonable ruffians, there’s really no way to deal with them.

”Young Master Geng, why are you here?” The head officer also started questioning him.

Those in the circle all knew that Geng Dong and Jiang Chengsi did not get along. His appearance at this time, and the suspicion of ”fleeing,” naturally raised doubts.

”I’m here to drink and spend money, is there a problem? Do I not have the right to spend money?” Geng Dong was clearly prepared to act tough.

”That’s not what I meant, the place has been sealed off, why were you trying to leave?”

”I said, I didn’t know something happened. To be honest, I wasn’t trying to run. That girl struck first, look, she squeezed my wrist until it was bruised. She hit me, can I not run?” Geng Dong spoke boldly.

”You’re...” The officer frowned. Dealing with such a troublemaker was certainly a headache for them.

”Being attacked for no good reason, who wouldn’t be upset?”

”You say I’m guilty and uneasy, why don’t you show evidence to accuse me and arrest me, then I’ll surely cooperate with your investigation. Under the current circumstances...”

Geng Dong looked at Lin Luyou, ”That little girl injured me for no reason and doesn’t even apologize?”

”Is this how you conduct your investigations?”

...

Lin Luyou wasn’t wearing a police uniform, yet Geng Dong ran as soon as he saw her, leading to a scuffle. Clearly, this wasn’t a simple matter.

Even if Geng Dong had nothing to do with Jiang Chengsi’s bar issue, he probably had done other shady things.

He was betting they didn’t have any evidence, intentionally making things difficult for Lin Luyou.

”If we’re wrong, we will give you an explanation. But for now, we need you to cooperate with the investigation.” The officer spoke rather politely.

Lin Luyou also spoke up, ”If I’m wrong, I’ll apologize to you.”

Giving face to the police was necessary; there was no need to clash with them.

Geng Dong snorted coldly without responding, raising his hand to rub his face.

The outside of the trash can wasn’t dirty, but anyone’s face against it would feel disgusting, and right then Lin Luyou pulled out a small packet of wet wipes from her pocket.

He raised an eyebrow, noting the girl was perceptive enough to offer him a wipe.

Unexpectedly, Lin Luyou merely took out a wipe for herself, leisurely cleaning her fingers before looking at the officer, ”Where is the person needing sample testing? I’ll start working.”

She said, crumpling the wet wipe and throwing it away, not even looking directly at Geng Dong.

Geng Dong was a fiery-tempered person. Having had his face pressed against a trash can by a woman just now, he felt his dignity was lost. And now, he was being ignored...

During the racing car incident, and now this, this was the second time he had been beaten by a woman.

Had he incurred the wrath of a female nemesis in the past six months?

”Captain Lin...” The officer coughed twice, knowing Geng Dong spoke crudely, Lin Luyou must be uncomfortable.

Someone guilty wanted to run, interception occurred, but was accused by the thief, anyone would be upset.

But Lin Luyou had no evidence at hand, nor enforcement authority, so she seemed to have no choice but to endure.

The officer was more familiar with Geng Dong and knew what kind of person he was. Just because he was guilty and fleeing, without solid evidence, even knowing he was suspicious, they couldn’t do anything to him.

”I’ll go work.” Lin Luyou didn’t want to waste her breath on such people.

”This way, please.” The bar manager said politely, preparing to lead her to another room.

...

Her studio is normally strict and meticulous, quite cold-faced, but Geng Dong didn’t know that, thinking the girl was deliberately giving him attitude, thus igniting his fury.

”Hey, stop right there!” Geng Dong suddenly shouted, drawing momentary focus from several people.

Lin Luyou turned to look at him.

Even the officer didn’t expect it; Geng Dong seemed emotionally stable, but suddenly flared up when everyone was unguarded, rushing towards Lin Luyou.

”You hit people, but that’s your attitude?”

Lin Luyou was baffled, she was just about to work, what did he want now?

Geng Dong felt guilty, and other’s small moves seemed magnified in his eyes. If Lin Luyou hadn’t blocked him, he wouldn’t have been here.
