Inside the men’s clothing store

Lin Luyou had never selected men’s clothes before. When it came to clothing matching or tie selection, she was completely clueless, so she listened very attentively to the store clerk’s introduction.

”Who are you choosing for? An elder, husband, boyfriend? What’s the price range?” The clerk was very professional, but Lin Luyou felt a bit bewildered.

”How about you tell me about his usual style, and I’ll recommend something for you.” The clerk smiled.

Lin Luyou pursed her lips and said, ”Something simple, usually a lot of black, white, and gray color.”

”How about taking a look at this tie? It’s been selling very well this year.”

”And since you mentioned he usually wears more black, white, and gray, actually choosing some brighter colors to change it up a bit could also be nice.”

”And there’s also this one, which is selling extremely well this year.”

...

Lin Luyou took a closer look; it was a dark red tie, this color...

Tang Wan was standing not far away, watching as the clerk recommended colors like yellow and sapphire blue. To be honest, the tie colors were nice, but pairing them with their family’s third brother...

It just felt a bit flashy.

Likely, Lin Luyou wouldn’t choose, nor would she know how to match them, yet in the end, she actually picked a red tie that completely mismatched Jiang Shiyi’s temperament.

Even during celebrations at the Jiang Family, Jiang Shiyi had never worn a tie of such color.

”Mr. Tang.” Lin Luyou seemed to doubt her own judgment and turned to Tang Wan, asking, ”Do you think this color looks good?”

”It looks good.”

Any tie taken alone looks good, but it’s all about matching styles.

Lin Luyou handled matters similarly to her work, decisively and swiftly, buying promptly without hesitating.

”Why pick a tie? Not going to look at other things?” Tang Wan knew whom she was buying for but didn’t expose it.

Lin Luyou’s answer left Tang Wan speechless:

”In this store, only the ties are relatively cheap.”

”...”

Shirts and suits, many are sold in sets. For men’s watches and shoes, there’s no need to mention further. Tang Wan never thought the reason she chose a tie was...

Because it’s cheap!

Lin Luyou rarely shops, and she couldn’t imagine that children’s wear and men’s wear could be so expensive, especially things used for kids. No wonder so many people nowadays say they can’t afford to raise children.

After shopping, Lin Luyou bought a neck massager and an electric fascia gun for her parents but nothing for herself.

”Aren’t you going to pick something for yourself, like clothes or jewelry?” Tang Wan noticed Lin Luyou didn’t even have pierced ears.

”Even if I buy it, I won’t wear it, it’s quite wasteful.”

”If you don’t dress up at your age, when do you plan to? Even after work, you should present yourself nicely.” Ruan Mengxi was curious about how Jiang Shiyi found such a gem.

She seemed distant yet was simple-minded, possessing a beautiful and sweet face while lacking self-awareness. Perhaps she was too focused on academia, not understanding many things, which was rather endearing.

”Come on, you’ve been with us all day, buy yourself something as well.”

Lin Luyou felt she could spend 360 days of the year in the lab, barely needing these things. However, she couldn’t resist Ruan Mengxi’s enthusiasm, allowing her to drag her into several shops.

Tang Wan and Ruan Mengxi had good taste, picking out a few dresses that looked great on her.

The love for beauty is inherent; Lin Luyou ended up buying several sets of clothes, which caused Tang Wan to worry.

When Jiang Jinsang called in the middle, she seemed troubled.

”Did anything unpleasant happen during shopping today?”

”Not really, it’s just that Team Leader Lin bought quite a few things today. How much do you think her monthly salary is?” Tang Wan was worried about her overconsumption.

”You’re worrying too much, I think she might be wealthier than you think.”

”What do you mean?”

”Grandma sometimes asks about Third Brother’s work situation. The project they were busy with in the latter half of last year reportedly had funding of several million. After completing the experiment, there were considerable bonuses, and various welfare benefits and treatment should be better than you think.” Jiang Jinsang explained.

Tang Wan nodded, realizing her worries were in vain.
