Pampered by Short-Lived Bigshot

”How’s the company internship been these past days?” Si Yushan looked at him.

The face wasn’t too annoying, but thinking about how this kid came to steal his family’s treasure, right under his nose, he found this brat a sneaky-looking one.

”It’s ok, it’s just that, having not been exposed to it before, getting the hang of it suddenly is a bit challenging.”

”What have you learned recently?”

It felt like being randomly quizzed by a teacher on homework, how could he not be flustered?

Then Si Yushan asked him some simple questions, to which he barely responded effectively, causing Si Yushan to frown.

”Who is mentoring you at Jiang’s?”

”Xiaowu, my cousin.”

”That child’s patience is quite commendable, if you were my employee, under me, you wouldn’t last an hour...” Si Yushan examined the chessboard, ”Actually, given your qualifications, you shouldn’t even pass our company’s interview.”

”If you want to learn, you need to have the right attitude, but not everyone can do business, the Jiang Family willing to have you learn is a good thing, yet doing business relies on intelligence.”

...

Jiang Chengsi’s mouth twitched, did Mr. Si imply:

He has no brains?

Si Yushan indirectly poked his heart, leaving Jiang Chengsi at a loss.

Until You Yunzhi and Si Qingxiao returned, someone instantly put on another face.

”Chengsi? When did you come?” You Yunzhi thought that as a son-in-law, he should definitely be scrutinized closely, but her attitude towards Jiang Chengsi was still very good.

”I’ve been here for a while.” Jiang Chengsi noticed the scarf still around Si Qingxiao’s neck and gave her a roguish smile.

Si Qingxiao’s ears turned red instantly, crawling over the wall last night, and today he dared to come openly?

”Stay for dinner.” You Yunzhi smiled, ”What were you talking about just now?”

Si Yushan directly said, ”We were discussing his business studies, I said if there’s anything he doesn’t understand, he should feel free to ask me.”

Jiang Chengsi: ”...”

That certainly wasn’t what you said earlier, his heart had been riddled with holes.

But there was no choice, he had to play along with his father-in-law’s play, and could only nod in agreement.

Working with Si Yushan, they performed a charade of mutual affection, had dinner, after which Si Yushan called him into the study to give him a bunch of financial books, urging him to study them well.

”I will read them carefully.”

Faced with his father-in-law’s sudden affection, what else could he say except for a smiling thank you?

Then after dinner, he was cheerfully seen off at the door by his father-in-law.

Si Yushan could see that his daughter was fond of Jiang Chengsi. Regarding their relationship, he didn’t object, just mentioned the need for observation and consideration, not wanting discord over such matters with his daughter.

To appear caring and considerate towards the younger generation before his daughter, he was to play the role of an enlightened good father.

He couldn’t wait to perform a farewell like ”Eighteen Miles of Escort” with Jiang Chengsi.

It was because of his considerate care and meticulous ”care,” that Jiang Chengsi spent three to four hours at the Si Family, without even holding Si Qingxiao’s hand, let alone whisper sweet nothings.

When he returned to the old house, Jiang Jinsang was still dealing with business, and seeing him back with a pile of books, couldn’t help but laugh.

After hearing about Si Yushan’s actions today, he could only exclaim:

The older, the wiser!

A father-in-law showing direct hostility and aggression, like Ruan Daqiang towards Qi Zeyan, isn’t much of an issue. It’s ones like Si Yushan, truly calculating and fearsome.

Unfortunately, it had to be this naive fool who encountered him, Jiang Jinsang could only light a mental incense stick for him.
