Jiang Chengsi found it easy to persuade anyone to drink, especially since his brother hadn’t stopped him.

”I don’t really drink much,” Lin Luyou didn’t want to drink; alcohol was a real hindrance.

”No worries, just a little taste,” Jiang Chengsi said as he opened the bottle and poured half a glass for everyone.

Jiang Chengsi was very enthusiastic, and being Jiang Shiyi’s brother, Lin Luyou couldn’t very well refuse. So she drank a bit, only slightly tipsy, not truly intoxicated.

”I’m ready to head back to the lab.” With Jiang Chengsi here, Lin Luyou felt embarrassed to stay, and as the time seemed right, she decided to leave.

”It’s already past nine, and you’re planning on leaving? We have plenty of guest rooms, why not stay here?” Jiang Chengsi understood his brother’s intentions and spoke up proactively.

”No need, I’ll just go to the bathroom.” Lin Luyou still declined.

She wasn’t stupid; after being caught by Jiang Chengsi at the police station earlier with Jiang Shiyi, it was clear he knew what was going on. She felt quite awkward at the time; it was an unspoken understanding.

Staying overnight here would certainly be inappropriate, especially with his family around.

Jiang Shiyi watched as she went to the bathroom, casting a deep glance toward his brother.

”Did you come back for something specific today?”

Jiang Chengsi wanted to move back, but the circumstances didn’t allow it, so he spoke honestly, ”I want to move back.”

”Did the Si Family kick you out of the marital home?”

”Not really, it just feels inappropriate to live there now.” Plus, there are quite a few reporters watching outside; if it weren’t for the tight security at Yiyuan District, cameras would have probably been at his doorstep by now.

”Do you think it’s appropriate to move back now?”

”...”

Just as Jiang Chengsi wanted to say more, Jiang Shiyi’s look was already quite direct:

Since you know it’s inappropriate, you can leave too.

”I’ll go check on her,” Jiang Shiyi said as he stood up and left.

Jiang Chengsi ruffled his hair, wondering where he could go at this hour...

When I invited her for a drink, you kept egging me on with your eyes, and now that she’s here, you push me aside?

Such a scoundrel’s behavior.

The point is, Jiang Chengsi wasn’t so socially inept; he intended to say goodbye to them before leaving. But since they hadn’t returned for quite a while, he sat at the dining table, looking at the leftovers and felt a bit unsettled.

Having made up his mind to leave, he didn’t want to dawdle and waste time, so he stood up, preparing to say goodbye.

...

Lin Luyou went to the bathroom and just washed her face, her cheeks slightly flushed from the alcohol. As she walked out, she saw Jiang Shiyi leaning against the wall.

He had drunk a couple of glasses tonight too, but he showed no signs of intoxication, not even a hair out of place or an unbuttoned shirt collar.

Serious in demeanor, yet his eyes carried a teasing desire.

The two extremes melded on him, yet harmoniously so.

Jiang Shiyi wasn’t the most handsome among the Jiang brothers, yet some people seem tailor-made for you...

Every aspect fits perfectly, delighting her.

”Really going back?” he asked, his voice deliberately low and alluring.

”Hmm—”

Just as she half uttered a sound, her lips were kissed.

She staggered back half a step, pressed against the wall behind by him, one hand wrapped around her waist, the other holding her head...

Aware that Jiang Chengsi was outside, Lin Luyou dared not speak loudly or push him away too hard.

Her light struggles, accompanied by the rustling of clothing, gradually quieted, and she was completely trapped by him, her breath chaotic, almost setting them both aflame.

Terrified of being discovered by Jiang Chengsi, Lin Luyou felt her blood almost bursting, her face reddened.

But Jiang Shiyi, skilled in teasing her, knew just how to touch her with each kiss and every place his fingers stumbled...

Her body couldn’t help but tremble lightly.

Until she couldn’t help but groan softly, he released her slightly.

But didn’t completely let her go, lips just barely brushing hers.

”You’re crazy...” Lin Luyou’s voice was quiet, her breath hot, always feeling he was too bold.

Just as Lin Luyou tried to avoid his touch, turning her head only for his lips to press against her earlobe, he was adept at using his voice, sliding into the most intimate places:

”You promised me earlier, not to go back tonight.”
