Pampered by Short-Lived Bigshot

Lou Xingyu looked at Jiang Chengsi, as if he had to apologize to this brat in front of so many people?

He ruined their entire plan, beat his son up like this, and still expects him to apologize?

But given the current situation, if he doesn’t apologize, with so many people watching him, how can he go out and face anyone in the future?

He could only suppress his trembling teeth and took two steps toward Jiang Chengsi.

”I’m sorry, I was impulsive earlier.”

Jiang Chengsi was still fuming inside, but he didn’t expect Si Qingxiao to stand up for him. He just responded with a faint ”hmm,” which was indifferent, arrogantly composed, much to Lou Xingyu’s aggravation.

This kid really knows how to play the victim while taking advantage of the situation.

Jiang Jinsang, standing not far away, almost laughed out loud.

This Miss Si really isn’t the typical protective wife.

Although Jiang Chengsi wasn’t beaten, little by little, she managed to settle the score for him.

...

Lou Xingyu couldn’t believe that his son had hidden such actions from him. After apologizing, he looked at him in astonishment, instinctively taking two steps back.

He wanted to explain to Si Yushan, even if it meant sacrificing a son, he couldn’t afford to drag the entire Lou Family down.

”Mr. Si, I am truly ashamed of what my son did today; I am too embarrassed to ask for your forgiveness. Whether you want to send him to the police or anything else, it’s up to you; I have no objections.”

Si Yushan kept his lips tightly sealed, not saying a word from start to finish.

His expression was cold and solemn, with a look that could chill anyone to their core even during midsummer heat.

”Dad, Dad...” Lou Hao was utterly panicked, at a loss, not knowing what to do.

Was his dad planning to give up on him?

All the nearby whispers and sneers gradually slipped into his ears. He had never faced such a situation, and in the entire hall, the only person he could rely on was his father.

Everyone knew; the Lou Family was planning to sacrifice a pawn to save the king.

Lou Hao staggered to his feet.

”Dad, save me...”

When pushed to the brink, a person tends to summon untapped strength. He fought through the abdominal pain to get up and plead with his father.

Lou Xingyu looked at his son in this state, feeling torn, continuously signalling to him not to drag him down any further, and repeatedly hinting to You Hongxian to intervene, as they were in this together; he should say something in this situation.

If the matter could end with Lou Hao, at the very least, the two of them could still protect themselves.

You Hongxian understood his implicit message, coughing lightly.

”Sister, brother-in-law, about this matter...”

Before You Hongxian could finish, Si Yushan suddenly made a move, bypassing Lou Xingyu, heading straight toward Lou Hao.

Si Yushan was wearing a fitting black suit today, adorned with a dark red tie for his wife’s birthday celebration, appearing eminently sharp and his demeanor stern.

Lou Hao, still wracked with abdominal pain and hunched over, found himself being glared down upon by Si Yushan.

An angry, intimidating glare.

”Lou Hao, when you came to my house, I already made my stance clear — to not bother my daughter. Did you not understand my words, or did you think...”

”Did my tone back then give you the impression that I was easy to bully?”

His tone was cold and firm, like breaking ice.

Each word carried an icy chill.

The imposing presence was so overwhelming that even the Jiang brothers not too far away exchanged uneasy glances, feeling a chill down their spines.

With his abdomen still in severe pain, Lou Hao’s body went limp, collapsing to the ground, ”Mr. Si, I...”

Without warning, contrary to what everyone anticipated, Si Yushan took action!

More precisely, he raised his foot.

He kicked directly at his shoulder, sending Lou Hao flying backward, crashing heavily to the ground.

”Thud—” A muffled sound echoed, evidence of how much force Si Yushan had put into that kick.

Pain throbbed from Lou Hao’s shoulder, a pain so intense as if his bones might snap, unlike Jiang Chengsi’s history of hitting him in the stomach.

No one spoke in the hall; the only sound was Lou Hao’s labored breathing, becoming increasingly prominent.
