Pampered by Short-Lived Bigshot

Having just bathed, his skin was rinsed with warm water, the blush hadn’t faded, the heat lingered, her fingers warm, but compared to him, they carried an inexplicable coolness.

Her fingers landed on his shoulder and neck, not an enticing or provocative gesture, yet Jiang Chengsi felt his throat dry up and tighten.

Si Qingxiao had also just showered, without the lingering warmth of water on her body, but her half-damp hair hung over her shoulders, soaking through her thin pajamas, the clothes clinging to her, outlining a bit of curvature.

Faint and understatedly...

For him, it was like a teasing gesture.

Si Qingxiao raised her hand, preparing to measure his arm length, the soft tape was extended from his shoulder downward, landing at his wrist.

”And then...” Si Qingxiao coughed softly, ”Can you stretch your arms a bit? I’ll measure your chest and waist.”

Jiang Chengsi was quite obedient, quietly cooperating with her.

Si Qingxiao needed to be closer to him to take his measurements.

In front of her was the person she liked, and the surrounding was unusually quiet, so quiet that she could almost hear her own heart pounding like a drum. To say there’s no wandering thoughts would be a lie...

Having feelings for him, she couldn’t help but want to get closer to him.

Jiang Chengsi lowered his gaze, watching her open her arms, passing the soft tape through his waist from behind, it looked as though...

She was about to embrace him.

Si Qingxiao’s nose grazed his slightly open chest, it burned at the tip, her breath caught, and her instinct was to retreat, but Jiang Chengsi held her hand down.

”Not finished measuring yet.” His voice was hoarse.

No alluring words were spoken, but Si Qingxiao detected a different undertone.

”I...” Si Qingxiao felt tense all over, thinking that if she continued measuring, something might happen, and she began to feel like retreating.

”Halfway there, I’ll help you.”

Her hand was held by a warm and scorching palm, covering her hand back, gripping the soft tape along with her.

The hand passed through his waist from behind, her arms opened, almost embracing him tightly, she thought could it be that Jiang Chengsi was genuinely helping her measure his waistline...

Unexpectedly, he pinned her hand to his waist from behind, not letting go, and she found herself leaning on his chest.

The pose was insinuatingly provocative.

”Fourth brother?”

She looked up, wanting to say something, caught off guard—

Water droplets fell onto her face from his hair tips.

She felt a tightening at her waist, stepping forward slightly, and naturally crashed into his arms.

”You, you...” Despite the season, even conservative pajamas have thin fabric, his chest slightly exposed, the closeness...

Both felt their hearts tremble.

Jiang Chengsi felt his ears start to heat up.

Wasn’t the plan to take measurements, what was he up to?

Si Qingxiao was about to ask when he called her name softly.

”Xiaoxiao—”

Jiang Chengsi’s voice was certainly not as magnetic as some male broadcasters.

But at this moment, with the flames and heat, hoarse, falling into her ears, it was the most captivating.

”Hmm?” She felt a trembling in her teeth.

”...I want to kiss you.”

He spoke plainly, Si Qingxiao felt her body heat up, his words were like bubbles on boiling water, falling upon her heart, bubbling incessantly.

They were already dating, not an unfamiliar kiss, Si Qingxiao wouldn’t likely refuse.

Jiang Chengsi didn’t offer her a chance to refuse, lowering his head, he kissed her.

...

The surrounding quietness was excessive, senses magnified.

It grew increasingly ambiguous.

”Have I ever told you, you look really good in a qipao.”

”I’m very happy you came to Pingjiang to find me, I know you like me and care for me from the bottom of your heart.”

”I like you too.”

”Xiaoxiao, how come you smell so good.”

...

Some words sound normal, but in this situation, whispered against her neck, it seemed like teasing words, causing a sense of shame.

Si Qingxiao was like being paralyzed, daring not to move.

The warmth spreading from her lips, forehead, nose tip, and cheek—

The fire within her heart was spreading wantonly.

After dating so long, they never spent the night outside, hardly progressing to that stage, holding hands and kissing usually brought joy.

Suddenly this intimacy, trembling, nervousness, inevitably some heart flutter.

”Fourth brother.” Si Qingxiao felt slightly breathless, so she called him gently, unlike a certain someone teasing deliberately.

Yet it evoked another kind of sentiment.

”What’s wrong?”
