Chapter 1091: Chapter 643: The Most Unlucky Jiang Fifth Master, Xiaosi Keeps Getting HitJiang Mansion

When the lady’s items were delivered to the Jiang Family, Tang Wan was feeding Xiaowai, the little crooked-necked tree. As she came downstairs holding the baby, Jiang Chengsi was also present.

After moving out, he promised the old lady to make time each week to have a meal at the house.

The old lady didn’t have such a request for Jiang Yanting or Jiang Shiyi, probably because she thought he couldn’t take care of himself. Every time he came over, she’d prepare many of his favorite dishes to nourish him.

”Fourth Brother,” Tang Wan called out to him with a smile.

”Come and let Uncle hold you,” Jiang Chengsi reached out to hold the baby. The little one recognized him and didn’t cry or fuss when being held by him.

”Whose package is this, such a big one?” The old lady glanced at the cardboard box placed in the entryway.

”It’s from over there,” Jiang Jinsang pointed towards the east, but his gaze was fixed on his son.

He always felt that after being held by someone, his son would truly grow crooked.

”Over there?” The old lady wasn’t fully aware of what happened yesterday, ”How did you come to know them?”

”By mere chance,” Jiang Jinsang didn’t explain further.

At this moment, Tang Wan had opened the box. It wasn’t anything expensive, but all were things she could use right now, and there was even a handwritten manual, very considerate.

The value of a gift is one thing, but the thought behind it is what’s most important.

It was clear that the person had put a lot of thought into it.

”Over there? Where exactly?” Old Master Tang, sitting nearby, was puzzled. He wasn’t from Beijing and didn’t delve into social relations much, so he wasn’t deeply familiar with the dynamics here.

”Si Family from Guandong,” the old lady explained.

”Si Family...” Tang Yunxian came out from inside, seemingly having some understanding.

”Dad, do you know them?” Tang Wan tilted her head to look at him.

”I’ve heard of them, people talked about them in business circles. However, this family is very low-key. Many of their businesses are managed by professionals, and they rarely show up themselves, so I’ve never met them.” Tang Yunxian explained.

”It’s said they started with salt and iron, then developed various shipping businesses, and later their business scope expanded widely. No one probably knows exactly how much wealth they have.”

”I recently heard in social gatherings that their business focus was in the south before, and they’ve moved back to Beijing, and now everyone is eager to ingratiate themselves.

Tang Wan nodded in agreement.

”What are you all chatting about in the living room?” As she spoke, Fan Mingyu came in from outside. Since Tang Wan gave birth and went through postnatal confinement, she had been staying at the old house, taking care of meals and everything.

This time she went out, also bringing back lots of things.

Tang Wan stood by the entryway, instinctively reaching out to help her with the items.

”Xiaowu, come help me. You shouldn’t be moving around,” Fan Mingyu noticed the box in the entryway and asked in detail. Hearing it was from the Si Family, she was quite surprised.

”I’ve recently heard a lot about them too. As the year-end approaches, there are many banquets and gatherings, and many people wanted to invite Si Family over, but were refused. Yet, this lady of the Si Family took the initiative to send you gifts?”

”They mean well towards us. Later, send them an invitation for the full month celebration. Whether they come or not is another matter, but we must observe the proper etiquette.”

Jiang Jinsang nodded in agreement.

Fan Mingyu looked at the practical gifts and commented, ”This Si lady seems very thoughtful and meticulous. A daughter raised in such a way wouldn’t be bad, no wonder so many people are eager to connect with the Si Family.”

”The Si Family’s daughter...” the old lady frowned, ”She’s around twenty, right?”

”More than twenty, she’s old enough to marry,” Fan Mingyu laughed.

”That’s what people in the circle say. I’ve heard the Si Family wants to settle in Beijing to find a suitable match for their daughter.”

”Lately, sons and grandsons of suitable age from many families are eagerly trying to get close to the Si Family.”

...

The old lady frowned, ”We also have someone of marriageable age in our family...”

Jiang Chengsi, who was teasing the little crooked-necked tree, suddenly became the focus of attention.
