Chapter 1040: Chapter 616: Playing the Overbearing CEO? Maybe He Forgot His Medicine and Lost His Mind (Part 2)It’s no big deal, we’re all adults, we can understand.

He deliberately opened a folder called [My Type]...

Quickly skimmed through the videos inside, Qi Zeyan watched this kind of clips for the first time and focused on the men, realizing...

She likes this type.

Ruan Mengxi had completely forgotten about this, still replaying that kiss today in her mind, along with the scene of being pinned against the window by him.

She was utterly confused at the time, yet now the details were becoming clearer and deeper, making her heart race inexplicably, and it took her a long time to fall asleep.

Early the next morning, a call from the club staff came in, merely asking if they would open today; she had already received Jiang Chengsi’s text saying the snow was too heavy, so they would remain closed.

After handling the work-related matter, Ruan Mengxi lost her drowsiness and got up to wash. She found Qi Zeyan had been up for a while, sitting at the coffee table in the living room, typing something on the computer, seemingly working on some files.

”Working up so early?”

”I have some things to deal with in the morning, and we’ll go out around noon.” Year-end is always especially busy.

Ruan Mengxi thought about it carefully; she hadn’t promised to accept his pursuit yet, so why was he acting so at home?

She had just walked into the bathroom to fetch water for brushing her teeth, and unexpectedly, someone came over, poured out the cold water she fetched, and poured her some warm water, ”It’s better to brush your teeth with water around thirty-five or thirty-six degrees in winter.”

As he spoke, he also squeezed toothpaste for her and handed it to her.

”I’ll make breakfast for you, what do you want to eat?”

”I...” Ruan Mengxi was stunned, what was he doing? Without waiting for her to speak, the man spoke, ”How about some porridge, egg pancake?”

”...”

Without waiting for her reply, the man just took action on his own.

Ruan Mengxi was completely puzzled, what was going on?

What’s up with him?

Girls inevitably care about their image in front of someone they like; Ruan Mengxi didn’t eat much, but the man kept giving her more food.

”I’m full.”

”No, you’re not full.”

”...”

After a difficult breakfast, Qi Zeyan heated a cup of milk for her, ”I need to work now.”

”You just do your thing.” Ruan Mengxi hadn’t recovered her composure yet and thought since he wanted to work, she might as well return to her room to avoid disturbing him, ”Then I’ll head back to my room.”

”Sit beside me.”

”Won’t I interrupt you?” Ruan Mengxi’s head spun, she needed some time to calm down, little did she know at that moment, someone suddenly leaned in.

Almost pressing against her ear, low and alluring, with a burning heat:

”You’re not interrupting, because...”

”I want to see you all the time.”

Ruan Mengxi’s heart raced wildly, her heartbeat erratically out of tune, even the sensation of his breath against her ear seemed to send a tingling ripple, just a few words had her completely flustered, as if frightened, her body trembled.

She was holding hot milk; her fingers shook slightly, the bottle tilted, and a bit of milk spilled from the mouth, covering half her hand and dripping onto the floor.

”I...”

Ruan Mengxi couldn’t have imagined she’d be so susceptible to flirting.

”Let me.” Qi Zeyan took the milk from her hand, grabbed some tissues from the coffee table, and gently wiped the milk off her hand.

Almost enveloping her hand, seriously and meticulously.

Ruan Mengxi’s fingertips tingled slightly, she raised her head slightly, observing the man in front of her; Qi Zeyan hadn’t gone out, dressed in ill-fitting loungewear, his hair messy and slightly reckless, squinting seriously...

A bit enticing.

”I can do it myself.” Ruan Mengxi wanted to withdraw her hand.

Qi Zeyan seized her wrist, his tone low, slightly commanding, ”Don’t move.”

Dominant and overbearing.

Even his tone had a harsher edge than usual.

Ruan Mengxi eventually had to wash her hands, while Qi Zeyan had cleaned the spilled milk from the floor and started working.

Ruan Mengxi wanted to escape back to her room, but Qi Zeyan fixed his gaze on her.

”If you’re returning to your room, I’ll go there and work as well.”

”No need, you just work here.” Ruan Mengxi smiled sheepishly, having no choice but to stay in the living room with him.
