”G... Go back to the room,” Qi Zeyan, who hadn’t spoken all this while, suddenly interjected.

Jiang Jinsang smiled, ”I also think you two should head back to the room. That would be best, considering... the hotel’s corridor does have security cameras, and it wouldn’t look good.”

Jiang Jinsang had originally thought Qi Zeyan might be completely out of it, yet he still knew to head back to the room?

In that case, it’s better to leave them be.

Jiang Jinsang picked up Tang Wan and returned to the room by the same route; the corridor was already empty.

He pursed his lips:

Quite a swift move.

”... Brother Huo’s friends can really drink. I bet he’ll definitely be drunk tonight,” Tang Wan had no clue what exactly happened in this corridor, ”Grandpa was very sentimental today and talked a lot about my mom.”

”Certainly, they don’t want to let go.” When Jiang Jinsang passed by room 5277’s door, he gave it a meaningful glance.

”What are you looking at?” Tang Wan examined the guest room, it was ordinary, no different from the others.

”Nothing much, hurry back and rest. The child from the Xi Family has been clinging to you all day, you must be exhausted.”

”Not really. He’s actually quite obedient,” Tang Wan laughed, ”Master is only in Beijing for two or three days, I want to invite him home for a meal tomorrow.”

”Okay, I’ll arrange it,” Jiang Jinsang tightly held her hand, ”It’s not easy for him to come over, can’t he stay a few more days?”

”My sister-in-law is pregnant again; if it wasn’t for my aunt’s wedding, he wouldn’t have wanted to leave home. Master loves kids, and with another baby coming, he must be really excited.”

”How many do you want?”

”I think two, like Jiangjiang and Taotao, so close in age they can play together.”

”Are you reminding me to work harder in the future?”

After all, having two in three years really does require effort.

”...”

Tang Wan had no such intention, just got misunderstood by someone.

She coughed lightly, awkwardly changing the topic, ”By the way, did Xixi leave? She said she was going to help my aunt earlier, then disappeared.”

Jiang Jinsang directly said, ”She should be with Zeyan.”

Tang Wan chuckled without saying much, thinking Jiang Jinsang was joking to tease her, after all, those two never really started, and Ruan Mengxi’s crush had ended.

Lately, their relationship had probably stayed at the level of mutual likes on social media; how could they be together?

”Don’t joke like that; it’d be bad if they heard,” Tang Wan intentionally reminded him, ”Their relationship is quite normal now, don’t stir things up.”

”I’m not joking,” Jiang Jinsang replied seriously, ”Nor am I messing things up.”

Their relationship has been tangled and complicated, not needing him to mess with it, already chaotic.

When the couple returned to the room, Tang Wan was still over half a month from her due date, her feet and calves were quite swollen. After a simple wash, Jiang Jinsang helped massage her legs.

Tang Wan suddenly felt the baby move in her belly and immediately put Jiang Jinsang’s hand onto it...

This was Jiang Jinsang’s first experience of what it was like to feel fetal movement.

The sensation was amazing.

”Did you feel it?” Tang Wan excitedly looked at him.

”Yeah.”

”I’ve told you before, there’s actually no pattern to it; it’s not that the baby rejects you, so every time you touch, he doesn’t move.”

”I understand.” Jiang Jinsang’s hand remained on her rounded belly, cautiously; before he hadn’t felt fetal movements, always assuming the baby moved a lot.

There’s always a feeling of it wanting to come out and a moment’s worry slipped through his mind.

”Wanwan, let’s go to the hospital earlier for delivery.”

”Didn’t we set the date to go next week?” Tang Wan laughed, ”You just massaged my legs, go wash your hands then sleep.”

As Jiang Jinsang washed his hands, he still seemed to feel the sensation left in his palm from the fetal movement, indescribably marvelous, something filled his heart, warming him inside out.

This was his first ”interaction” with his child, a moment to be commemorated.

But since the pregnancy journal was still at home, there was no way to record his feelings in real-time. Before sleep, Jiang Jinsang specially noted this day on his phone.

[First time feeling the baby, I believe he felt me too, the sensation is subtle, novel, and exciting.]
