Pampered by Short-Lived Bigshot

Chapter 806: Chapter 488: Not a Proper Lady? The So-Called Hunt-Qi Plan (3 Updates)”Working out, huh.” Ruan Mengxi smiled.

She wasn’t there to work out; she was there to run into him and flirt.

Qi Zeyan nodded, but the men around him showed no intention of leaving.

He hesitated for a moment. She was his assistant and also the sister-in-law’s best friend, so he couldn’t just ignore her. ”Are you done working out?”

”Just starting.”

”Come with me.”

Qi Zeyan had a personal trainer, so naturally, he also had a private training room. When they arrived, the trainer hadn’t arrived yet.

”Why did you suddenly start working out?”

”Wanwan thinks I’m fat, and to fit into her wedding, I have to lose weight.”

Tang Wan was currently at home binge-watching dramas, never expecting to get drenched...

Qi Zeyan glanced at her nonchalantly. With that figure, she wants to lose weight?

He really couldn’t understand what women meant by being thin, and just how thin they wanted to be.

”Actually, you don’t need to lose weight; you look just fine.”

”Is this what you like?” Ruan Mengxi chuckled.

Qi Zeyan stayed silent, but started warming up as usual. He had been working out for a while now with good results. His shirt wasn’t particularly tight, but as he moved, the gentle outline of his muscles was visible, and his long legs looked well-shaped and handsome.

Soon after, the personal trainer arrived and seemed a bit surprised to see an unfamiliar girl in the room.

”Young Master Qi, your girlfriend?” he teased playfully.

”Assistant.”

”Like a secretary?” The trainer laughed.

A boss and a secretary, especially a pretty one, always fueled some thoughts.

”Let’s start working out.” Qi Zeyan said directly, glancing at Ruan Mengxi on the side. ”You said you wanted to lose weight, just follow along.”

”Sure.” Ruan Mengxi was eager to comply.

...

Tang Wan finished her prime-time drama and was about to sleep when she got a call from Ruan Mengxi.

”Tang Xiaowan—” The voice was feeble.

”What’s wrong with you?”

”I went to seduce Qi Zeyan.” She didn’t know what she was doing, and suddenly screamed, ”Ouch—my legs, I can’t close them.”

Tang Wan sat up, listening to her half-dead voice. Just how far did she go to seduce him to end up in this state? Could it be Qi Zeyan’s doing?

Can’t even close her legs?

That... intense?

”Ruan Mengxi, did you succeed in offering yourself?”

Jiang Jinsang was sleeping beside her and raised an eyebrow at this.

Did they progress that fast?

”No, what are you thinking.” Ruan Mengxi said helplessly, ”I just went to the gym he frequents to run into him, but who knew his trainer would be so intense, saying he wanted to stretch me and almost broke my legs.”

Tang Wan laughed out loud. Going to seduce Qi Zeyan, but almost ended up crushed by his trainer?

Is this supposed to make her die of laughter?

”Stop laughing, I’m about to sleep, and I have to get up early to cook tomorrow.”

”What are you cooking?”

”I used his private studio today and had his personal trainer coach me, so I definitely need to express some gratitude.”

”Can you even cook?” Tang Wan knew her well, pampered at home, never set foot in the kitchen.

”I’ve been practicing cooking hard recently. I’ll let you taste my skills sometime.”

Ruan Mengxi had embarrassed herself at the Qi Family before; one embarrassing incident was enough. She had been honing her culinary skills lately, with significant improvement.

Because the second step in the ’Capture Qi’ plan was: [Win his stomach!]

”Good luck then.”

...

Tang Wan hung up the phone, already picturing Ruan Mengxi limping, yet determined, bustling around in the kitchen.

The next day, Qi Zeyan went to work only to receive a love-filled lunchbox from Ruan Mengxi.

”This is for me?” Qi Zeyan raised an eyebrow.

”To thank you for your help yesterday.”

Xiaozhu stood by, dumbfounded.

Ruan Mengxi was actually Xiaozhu’s assistant, so he usually understood whatever she did, but...

Remembering the time when Qi Zeyan drunk and slept over at Ruan Mengxi’s place, he found it odd then. He felt there was something peculiar about them, but since Ruan Mengxi often traveled with the crew, nothing seemed out of place, so...

When did these two start ’fooling around’ behind his back?
