“I’ll arrange for Wanwan to undergo more tests. Some diseases require screening later in the pregnancy, but even then, it can’t guarantee the future…”

“Let’s do the tests first and make sure there’s no issue before I discuss it with the family,” Tang Wan meant for Zhou Zhongqing to keep it confidential for now.

After all, if the tests did reveal something, other plans would definitely need to be considered.

“Don’t be too anxious. Xiaowu’s condition likely won’t be hereditary,” Zhou Zhongqing said, though not with much conviction.

Tang Wan and Jiang Jinsang left the Hospital and seemed quite relaxed; worrying about some things at this time was pointless, so they went out to a furniture store to pick out quite a few pieces for their new home. Previously, Tang Wan hadn’t been too interested in setting up a nursery, but today she bought many items.

The couple was joyful, which made Zhou Zhongqing constantly worry and sigh.

“Teacher, what’s the matter?” The assistant didn’t know about Tang Wan’s pregnancy.

Zhou Zhongqing just shook his head, “Do you think I owed Jiang Xiaowu something in my last life…”

“What do you mean?”

“From his childhood to adulthood, I’ve worried and feared for him countless times. Just when he seemed out of trouble, and I even acknowledged a goddaughter, thinking I was starting a new life, now look…”

The big issue was resolved, and now he had to start worrying about the little one!

He always felt that he might mess up in this lifetime because of him.

“I’m going to a meeting at the oncology department first. Can you compile all of Xiaowu’s information and give it to me later? I’ll have a thorough look.” Previously, Zhou Zhongqing only focused on saving his life and hadn’t considered genetic issues.

He hoped the child would be like Wanwan, a bit more well-behaved, and definitely not like his dad, or else he’d create another troublemaker.

Just the thought of a “Jiang Jinsang 2.0 version” emerging gave him a severe headache and his worries wouldn’t clear.

…

When Tang Wan and Jiang Jinsang got home, the old lady had already transplanted the orchid into another pot. When asked about their sudden departure, the couple kept it a secret for the time being and casually made up an excuse to placate her.

It frustrated the old lady so much she almost grabbed her cane to hit him.

Then the old lady decreed:

“From now on, neither Jiang Jinsang nor Tang Wan are allowed to touch my flowers.”

This left Tang Wan baffled, “Grandma, why include me?”

The old lady coughed twice, “Now, whenever I see you two, I get upset. Can’t I enforce a collective punishment?”

Tang Wan, being the dutiful granddaughter, always saw the old lady tending the plants and couldn’t help but want to assist. The younger generation had good intentions, and the old lady felt bad for discouraging her, but she shivered at the thought of them touching the plants. This was the perfect opportunity to keep them away from her precious plants.

Tang Wan also glared at Jiang Jinsang, implying:

It’s all your fault, getting me involved.

Jiang Jinsang understood the old lady’s intentions and resignedly thought:

Whatever, I’m in a good mood today; I can take the blame.

However, despite their precautions, the old lady’s delicate plants eventually got ruined, and it was Jiang Jinsang who took the blame—though that was a story for another time.

…

Although the family hadn’t been informed about Tang Wan’s pregnancy, Jiang Jinsang was definitely making preparations. He read some relevant books, but that information was ultimately just clichés with limited applicability or specificity. After much thought, he decided to call his older brother.

Jiang Yanting was currently worried about wedding video issues.

When Huo Qinqi asked him for it, he claimed the videographer hadn’t sent it to him yet. Both sides were shrewd, and although he only said to let him see it when the video was ready, they likely both understood something more.

He was just out for his honeymoon, and yet he’d stumbled into a pile of issues and was having a headache when he received a call from Jiang Jinsang.

“Is something up?”

Jiang Jinsang called him and suddenly remembered that during his sister-in-law’s pregnancy, he wasn’t around and didn’t have much Say. “There’s something I want to discuss with sister-in-law…”

Calling me but asking for my wife?

Jiang Yanting handed the phone to Shen Zhixian.

“… you mentioned wanting to know about pregnancy, is it because Wanwan has a situation?”

Jiang Yanting frowned slightly, pregnancy?
