Pampered by Short-Lived Bigshot

Chapter 670: 420 Everlasting Tyrannical President Schemes, Observation and Study Video (2 Updates)

Under the apartment building

Two members of the Huo family were standing by the trash can, leisurely smoking a cigarette, “Do you think giving flowers works?”

“Which woman doesn’t like flowers? It’s definitely a sure bet,” the person pinched the cigarette butt and took a strong puff.

“I mean, can we trust Siye’s words? He himself has never been in a relationship yet he’s dishing out a bunch of advice to our master.”

“I always feel that Siye is unreliable.”

…

The whole flower-giving thing was entirely Jiang Chengsi’s brainchild on the day he went to welcome the bride for Huo Qinqi.

He also said things like no woman can resist flowers and diamonds, and if she doesn’t listen, just go for a strong kiss and on and on…

Now thinking it over more, it seemed like a pile of bad ideas.

At that time, Qi Zeyan was in the car and even retorted in a low voice, “Being domineering like this, are you sure women will like it?”

Jiang Chengsi, full of confidence, replied, “Look at the TV dramas nowadays, the overbearing male leads are the most popular. Why do they stand the test of time? Those young girls still like watching them. There’s a reason for it. Old Huo, trust me, when you meet someone you like, don’t be afraid, just go for it! You definitely won’t be wrong!”

Huo Qinqi didn’t take his words completely to heart, but he took some advice, hence the flower-giving act.

Shen Shuci was totally caught off guard by his sudden actions, which were so different from his usual behavior.

At this moment, she was holding the flowers, her face beet red, and the little kitten seemed to sense something, crawling out of its nest, rubbing against Huo Qinqi’s feet, meowing persistently.

“Chichi, here,” Shen Shuci placed the flowers down, trying to call the cat to her side.

“Chichi?” Huo Qinqi raised an eyebrow.

“I saw that it didn’t have a name, it can eat and sleep, so I gave it a name. It’s your cat, so it took your surname, called Huo Chichi. If you don’t like it, you can change it.”

The kitten was tiny and even if it was just playing around, it tired very quickly. It basically just ate, drank, and slept, and the cat was quite aloof, not fond of fussing, so it was easy to take care of.

“It’s good.”

“Chichi, come here,” Shen Shuci half-squatted on the ground, continually calling her but the kitten just stretched lazily and orbited around Huo Qinqi, completely ignoring her, leaving Shen Shuci feeling rather defeated!

This little ingrate, after being cared for so long, doesn’t even spare her a glance now that her owner is back?

Huo Qinqi wasn’t a cat-pampering person. Seeing it circle around him, he didn’t coax or stroke its fur.

So indifferent.

Yet despite his coldness, the kitten still kept circling him non-stop.

Shen Shuci bit her lip, could this be a case of “the grass is always greener”?

She circled around the cat, the cat followed him, and he…

“How was Granny Shen’s check-up today?” Huo Qinqi suddenly asked.

“The results aren’t out yet, but there shouldn’t be any issues. I have to go to the hospital again. You take Chichi back first, I’ve packed all its stuff.”

“I’ll go with you.”

“What are you going to do at the hospital?”

“Your mother likes me a lot.”

“…” Shen Shuci was taken aback. Her grandmother had already thought too much. If they appeared together, she would certainly jump to conclusions, “If you come with me, my mom will definitely misunderstand.”

“Misunderstand what? Our relationship is already extraordinary.”

He said it with such conviction.

But he had a point. Holding hands, embracing, kissing, they had done it all; could their relationship still be ordinary?

Shen Shuci, urgent to get to the hospital, didn’t let Huo Qinqi stay long at her house and he went home with the cat.

…

Not long after he returned, the roaring sound of an engine echoed outside; no need to guess who had come.

“Old Huo—” Jiang Chengsi felt deceived and came over to demand an explanation, “If you don’t want to teach me how to box, just say so. Why make up such lame excuses?”

Huo Qinqi was originally playing Minesweeper, the cat lying on his lap, startled into an arched back, attack-ready stance by Jiang’s loud voice.

“You disturbed my cat!” Huo Qinqi said in a low voice.

Jiang Chengsi scoffed and, without any politeness, poured himself a glass of water, “If you don’t teach me something today, I’ll just stay at your place and refuse to leave.”

“Why the sudden interest in learning this stuff?”
