Chapter 605: 385 Qi Zeyan taking revenge on the Fifth Master? Wants to be famous, has to stake his lifeQi Zeyan’s run-in with Jiang Jinsang, storming out and slamming the door, quickly made the headlines. People even analyzed the impact their potential rift and conflict might have on both families’ companies.

After leaving the club, he headed straight to the ”Feng Que” shooting location in Beijing.

In the resting room

You Congrong, her face painted with exquisite Qing Dynasty makeup and dressed in a traditional Manchu costume, laughed as she looked at Qi Zeyan, ”Mr. Qi, what do you mean by this? Are you asking me to accept an interview with the reporters? Aren’t we filming behind closed doors?”

”Whether it’s closed or not is for me to decide.”

”Do you need me to clarify the rumors about Lord Wu and me?”

”The TV series needs to maintain its popularity.” Qi Zeyan, who had drunk a little, seemed somewhat incoherent in his speech. Ruan Mengxi and Xiaozhu stood quietly behind him, not uttering a word.

”If we’re talking about maintaining popularity, then I might offend Lord Wu.”

”With my support, what are you afraid of him for?” Qi Zeyan’s voice grew a bit louder, ”Could it be that you think Jiang Jinsang would fall out with our Qi Family over this?”

”Mr. Qi, that’s not what I mean!”

”Don’t worry, if this works out, you’ll be well rewarded.”

You Congrong’s eyes gleamed, ”I understand.”

”Infringement, scandal, because of those two, I’ve suffered so much!”

...

Having left the resting room, You Congrong’s agent specifically asked her about it, and she explained the situation honestly, ”Mr. Qi’s idea is to open up the film set to interviews tomorrow.”

”Congrong, you said you wanted to get back at Teacher Tang. Now the whole internet is criticizing her, and you’ve achieved your goal. Do you still want to capitalize on their popularity? You should stop!”

”The set interview is to clarify misunderstandings. How is that capitalizing on popularity?” You Congrong sneered.

Everyone knew that if you wanted to hype it up, even if you accepted an interview and answered questions, you’d be ambiguous. Definitive answers would leave no room for speculation!

The agent reminded her, ”The Jiang Family is not easy to provoke!”

”What if I have Qi Zeyan’s backing?”

”I’ve heard that he and Lord Wu have grown up together. Do you really think they would have a falling out? When he got engaged, Mr. Qi even personally went to Pingjiang...”

You Congrong interrupted her agent before she could finish,

”Because of the copyright issue with Tang Wan, he is already in deep trouble. He’s invested too much in ’Feng Que,’ and certainly doesn’t want it to go to waste. When it comes to interests, even fathers and sons, blood brothers can fall out, not to mention friends?”

”Are you gambling with your career?”

”Sister, I know you care about me, but at my age, I’m not young in the industry anymore. Now I have a chance to get connected with the Qi Family, and I don’t want to give that up, especially when it’s just a set interview. What are you afraid of?” You Congrong laughed softly.

”Besides, since Qi Zeyan has brought this up to me, do you think I have the right to refuse?”

Biting her lip, the agent said, ”I’m afraid you’re playing with fire!”

”Tang Wan shut down her studio because of the copyright issue and has been hiding like a turtle in its shell. What can she do to me now? She doesn’t even dare to issue a clarification, so how could she face the reporters?”

When Jiang Jinsang returned home, Tang Wan was at the workbench, using tweezers to glue goose feathers for Cyan Feather embroidery. Seeing him enter, she put aside her work.

”I passed by a cake shop and got you some desserts.” Jiang Jinsang knew she had a sweet tooth lately.

”Okay.” Tang Wan tidied up the workbench a bit, ”The news about your disagreement with Zeyan is already spreading online.”

”Is that so?”

”The ’Feng Que’ crew will open the set for interviews tomorrow.” Tang Wan pulled out a wet wipe and methodically cleaned her fingers, ”It’s said You Congrong will accept an interview, and your scandal with her is trending again.”

”Everyone is saying that you and Zeyan had a falling out, so he intentionally opened up the set for interviews just to ride on your current popularity and deliberately ’retaliate.’”
