Chapter 565: 361 Fifth Master gets his wish, even encouraging Brother Huo to put in more effort? (3 more chapters)

Spring lassitude and autumn fatigue plagued the hotel front desk past noon; drowsiness was inevitable until the elevator door opened, jerking the attendant to full alert. The person who approached was a cold-faced tall man wearing sunglasses, handing her two identity cards.

“Check in.”

His expression was cold and stern, more like he was there for revenge than to check into a room. Any trace of sleepiness vanished from the front desk attendants.

“Okay, please wait.” The attendant took the identity cards and glanced at them. “For checking into the hotel, you definitely need the identity cards of the individuals present.”

“They are over there.” The attendant nodded towards Jiang Jinsang who was standing to one side, half-embracing a woman.

One could only see the back of her head, his long arm wrapped around her waist, revealing only a segment of her fine, soft waist.

“King-sized bed or…”

“Presidential suite.”

“Okay.” The attendant couldn’t believe these two were at the hotel to check in; she inspected the identity cards more closely before handing over the key card.

As the group left, the attendants muttered quietly, “Young Master Jiang and Miss Tang? Why aren’t this couple going home instead of checking into a hotel?”

“I think Miss Tang looks like she’s had too much to drink. Maybe they just needed a place to crash.”

“They are a couple; naturally, they can do whatever they want.”

…

Once inside the elevator, Jiang Cuo and Jiang Jiu were somewhat uncomfortable. The ambiguous atmosphere between the two made them unsure where to even look.

In the car, they could force themselves to look ahead, but the reflective design of the hotel elevator floor clearly revealed everyone’s reflections.

“Brother Jiang—” Tang Wan leaned into him, her body going limp as if boneless, her voice tender and soft, “Where are we going?”

“The hotel.”

“To eat?” Tang Wan was still thinking about eating and drinking.

“To sleep.”

Jiang Cuo choked, coughed, and thought, Could you phrase that less provocatively, especially in broad daylight?

He, a grown man, felt extraordinarily flustered just listening.

“Um… He is…” Tang Wan squinted, seemingly not recognizing Jiang Cuo at first.

“An unimportant person.”

“Oh—”

Jiang Cuo: “…”

Once out of the elevator, Jiang Jinsang slightly bent down, one hand supporting her waist, the other passing beneath her knees, and easily lifted her. Standing behind them, Jiang Cuo muttered in awe:

Looks like those days at the gym really paid off.

Just as they entered the suite, Jiang Jinsang glanced back at the other two without a word, and they knew it was their cue to leave.

Jiang Cuo placed Tang Wan’s purse and the hangover medicine they had gotten from the pharmacy on the table near the door, “We’ll be outside; call us if you need anything.”

After they hurriedly exited and closed the door, Jiang Cuo let out a long sigh of relief.

“I feel like if we didn’t leave just now, he would’ve kicked us out! By the way, can his body handle it?” Though Jiang Jinsang had been out of the hospital for a few months following surgery, it typically took a hundred days to recover from bone and tendon injuries, not to mention chronic conditions from birth. “What if he can’t manage halfway through…”

Jiang Jiu gave him a side look, “You really seem to want to be kicked out.”

…

Meanwhile inside the room, as soon as the door closed, the whole world quieted down. The blackout curtains isolated all disturbances from outside. Tang Wan was placed on the bed as Jiang Jinsang finally breathed a sigh of relief.

He turned around, removed his jacket, tossed it aside, unbuttoned a few buttons at his collar, picked up a bottle of mineral water provided by the hotel, and took several sips.

Jiang Jinsang’s physical condition wasn’t great, and they had always been careful about certain things. What he didn’t know was that a drunk Tang Wan was incredibly clingy, making him uncomfortable all over during their journey.

Even the cold water couldn’t cool down the burning sensation in his throat and chest.

Yet unbeknownst to him, Tang Wan was already turning her head slightly, watching him closely.
