Tang Wan frowned, ready to find a hotel waiter to bring him some sobering soup, but as soon as she left the banquet hall, she heard someone calling from behind her, ”Miss Tang, wait.”

She turned around and felt that the lady looked familiar, but she had seen so many people today that she couldn’t remember her last name right away. She simply politely addressed her as ”auntie,” ”Do you need something?”

”I just...” The woman’s smile was somewhat strained, ”I wanted, wanted to talk to you about...” She stuttered for a while, yet couldn’t utter a complete word.

”Is there something I didn’t take care of properly?”

”No, it might be a bit presumptuous, but that girl who came in with you last, she...”

”Wanwan?” Jiang Jinsang suddenly appeared, and the lady gave an embarrassed smile, ”Sorry to bother you.”

After finishing her sentence, she turned and walked away, leaving Tang Wan completely befuddled.

”What was that about?” Jiang Jinsang looked at her with a puzzled expression.

”Do you know that auntie?”

”I don’t know her; probably a friend of Uncle Zhou. Should I go ask for you?”

”No need.” Tang Wan frowned, because it was obvious that the woman wanted to ask about Shen Shuci but stuttered, as if hiding something unspeakable.

Jiang Jinsang noticed her concerned expression and decided to keep an eye on the situation. He turned around and had Jiang Cuo inquire about the woman’s background.

But tonight, he didn’t have the leisure to worry about others, because as the recognition feast was coming to an end, the guests gradually left. Old Mr. Tang and the grandmother were old and couldn’t stay for long, and soon the large banquet hall had few people left...

However, Jiang Jinsang was stuck between two immovable mountains on his left and right.

They propped him up and wouldn’t let him leave.

Jiang Yanting and others came over to greet him one after another, and when they saw him trapped, no one came to his rescue. Tang Wan could only lament:

His fifth brother’s popularity was really too pitiful.

Tang Yunxian had also drunk a lot tonight. Now, he was patting Jiang Jinsang’s shoulder, ”Kid, do you think just because you’re not feeling well, I won’t be able to touch you? I’m telling you, we have plenty of time, we can take it slow.”

Zhou Zhongqing chimed in, ”He’s almost fully recovered now, so you can move him.”

”Regarding the matter of getting our marriage certificate, don’t you have anything to tell me?” Tang Yunxian frowned.

”Don’t look at him being in poor health; ever since he was little, he was very daring.”

”Really?”

”The first time I met him, this kid used to give me such attitude. Arrogant as can be.”

”Really? Can you show me some of that spirit?” Tang Yunxian laughed.

Jiang Jinsang kept silent.

”I remember when he was very young, trying to make him take medicine, he never wanted to, even considering some kind of hunger strike in protest. This kid, always full of tricks since he was little.”

”No wonder Wanwan was fooled by him.” To Tang Yunxian, Jiang Jinsang was nothing but a flower thief who undermined another’s foundations; he not only picked the flower but also moved the whole pot and plant — clearly up to no good.

And yet, in Tang Wan’s garden, he left behind a whole garden of flowers. Tang Wan would often call, reminding him to water them, not to let the flowers die.

Tang Yunxian helplessly thought, he steals the most delicate flower from our home and yet leaves a garden of flowers for him to take care of? What kind of situation is this?

...

The two men on his sides carried on their chat, and Jiang Jinsang sat between them, surrounded by drunkards, left with no choice but to keep drinking.

Tang Wan knew they wouldn’t make it home tonight with this rate of drinking, so she specially went to a hotel to book several rooms. When she returned, the three men were all so drunk they were out of shape. Jiang Jinsang was holding a cup of wine, seemingly ready to keep drinking.

Jiang Cuo and Jiang Jiu were also standing awkwardly aside. They were embarrassed, as they couldn’t even stop their own fifth brother, let alone interfere with the two fathers-in-law.

”Stop drinking, all of you!”

Tang Yunxian and Zhou Zhongqing remained unmoved, but Jiang Jinsang looked at her, obediently put down his cup, and sat down obediently.

His face all but had written on it:

Sweetheart, see, I’m the most well-behaved.
