“Uncle, is it tasty?” Taotao asked with concern.

“Tasty.”

…

He had grown so big, yet his brother had never peeled shrimp for him, how could it not be tasty?

“Taotao really does like Xiaowu…” The grandmother joked, but seeing the whole family getting along so well, she naturally felt happy.

Tang Wan had also been observing their interaction. Suddenly, Jiang Jinsang turned his head to look at her, “Don’t you think they are cute? Like them?”

“Like.” Taotao was cute and sweet, raised well, it was hard not to like her.

Jiang Jinsang leaned closer to her, whispering in her ear, “Our kids in the future…”

“Will be even cuter.”

Tang Wan’s face flushed red; there he went again. His health wasn’t even fully recovered, and he brought up having kids every now and then.

When everyone was full and a bit tipsy, Zhou Zhongqing suddenly made a fist with one hand, coughed, and said, “There’s something I want to discuss with everyone…”

He had drunk quite a bit, his cheeks flushed, but his expression was very serious. Everyone put down their chopsticks and cups, thinking he was going to discuss something related to Jiang Jinsang’s health, and held their breath, waiting for him to speak.

“During Xiaowu’s hospital stay, Wanwan has been taking care of me…”

“Uncle Zhou, that’s because you were worried about Brother Wu.” In this world, emotions are mutual. Zhou Zhongqing devotedly cared for Jiang Jinsang. Tang Wan could only do her best, naturally taking care of him more.

So she couldn’t take credit for this.

“I know, you did it for Xiaowu.” Zhou Zhongqing said with a smile, “In my life, I’ve never married or had children, and though Xiaowu and I are just doctor and patient, we are as close as father and son. So, taking advantage of today, Good Days, I want to say…”

Jiang Jinsang raised an eyebrow, could it be he was going to ask to be his godson?

Before the surgery, Jiang Jinsang had talked to him about this. He was serious and had even discussed it solemnly with the grandmother and his parents. They all agreed, because without Zhou Zhongqing, there would be no Jiang Jinsang today.

No wonder he was dressed so formally today, in a suit and freshly styled hair.

But Zhou Zhongqing’s next words left Jiang Jinsang gaping.

“I want to acknowledge Wanwan as my goddaughter!”

Tang Wan looked baffled, and Jiang Jinsang was stunned for several seconds.

Not his godson? Why turn into acknowledging his wife as a goddaughter?

“Wanwan is really considerate. After spending such a long time together, I genuinely like her. I’ve already discussed this with Mr. Tang, and he has agreed. As long as Wanwan agrees, you will be my dear daughter from now on!”

“The Tang family is far in Pingjiang, and you, a lone girl marrying into Beijing, if someone bullies you, you won’t even have your own family to turn to.”

“From now on, in Beijing, I’ll have your back. Jiang Xiaowu definitely won’t dare to bully you.”

Everyone: (⊙o⊙)…

“Oh my, this…” Jiang Chengsi was speechless. Zhou Zhongqing, although sometimes sharp-tongued, truly cherished Jiang Jinsang; how sudden was this decision to make Tang Wan his goddaughter?

“Their relationship, actually acknowledging anyone would be the same.” Jiang Shiyi whispered, even without this connection, Jiang Jinsang and Tang Wan would still treat him like a real dad, “But being a father-in-law is more thrilling than being a dad.”

Even though he kept his voice low, Jiang Jinsang, who was closer to him, heard everything clearly.

Indeed, being a dad, when Jiang Jinsang gets married, even if only as a godfather, would inevitably involve a lot of effort, but being a father-in-law is different…

Jiang Jinsang had to cling to him!

This crafty old fox…
