Chapter 194: 149 Causing Trouble at the Doorstep, Wanwan Furiously Denounces the Shameless (2 more updates)_2

“This is the authoritative doctor from the hospital who has always refused to accept interviews. Just look for yourselves, his attitude towards us and these wealthy people couldn’t be more different. It seems like our lives are just not as valuable.”

“Wang Li! What exactly are you trying to do?” Zhou Zhongqing struggled to suppress the rage within. His name had already spread among the medical staff, and everyone went out of their way to avoid him.

“I just want everyone to see how ugly the face of your hospital is!”

The man was in his fifties, thin and gaunt, with prominent bones and features that gave off an impression of being sharp and mean-spirited.

“Doctor Zhou, would you like to respond to his accusations?”

“Has your hospital provided special privileges with a fast-track?”

…

Zhou Zhongqing clenched his jaw and said nothing; the reporter then turned their attention to the patient Tang Wan lying on the bed, “Would you like to say something?”

At this moment, the medical staff who had heard the news came running into the ward. Seeing the situation, they were also grinding their teeth in anger.

Some patients and family members from the same floor also came to join in the commotion, making the inside and outside of the ward chaotic.

“You’re asking me, right? Since there’s media here today and you all wanted to interview me, let’s use this opportunity to make things clear,” Zhou Zhongqing stood up, “If there’s an issue, speak up, but please don’t harass my patients.”

Zhou Zhongqing, normally amiable in his white coat, lost his smile and became severe and intimidating.

“Enough, Doctor Zhou!” Someone intervened.

Eventually, the situation always seemed to twist in such a way that it appeared as if the hospital was at fault, even if the hospital issued a statement, it seemed as though no one would believe it.

“Wang Li, your mother came to the hospital back in October and was advised by a doctor to be hospitalized. You just had her on a drip for a while and then forcefully took her away. Did this not happen?”

“You doctors are just good at scaring people. My mom was fine; you insisted on having us stay in the hospital. How do we know you’re not just trying to scam money?” Wang Li scoffed.

Zhou Zhongqing snickered, “Last month, she was brought to the hospital again. This time she had collapsed at home, unconscious. You had no other option and had to send her here.”

“The old lady’s vital signs were very weak. If it were any later, I’m afraid not even a deity could have saved her.”

“At the time, to save her, we didn’t forcefully collect any fees from you, taking her directly to the operating room. That counts as giving you a fast-track privilege. Why don’t you mention this to the reporters?”

…

The reporter looked at Wang Li, seemingly wanting an answer.

But he shouted out loud, “Isn’t it supposed to be your duty to treat and save patients? Besides, what state have you saved my mother in?”

“Her age is there for all to see, and by the way, the condition of her health… don’t you family members have any idea? You mistreat her at home, and when things go wrong, it’s all the hospital’s fault?”

“If you think there’s something wrong with our hospital, we’ve said you can report us, even seek medical appraisal.”

“If you don’t trust us, you’re free to transfer to another hospital at any time!”

Upon hearing this, Wang Li became agitated, “She became ill under your care, why should we transfer hospitals? You’re just trying to shirk responsibility!”

Zhou Zhongqing snickered. After all, he wasn’t the type to act shamelessly. Facing such an unreasonable person, he wished he could give him a couple of punches to relieve his frustration.

Tang Wanwan stepped forward.

“Mr. Wang, right? I’m not clear on what issues you have with the hospital, and I won’t comment. But why did you bring reporters and barge into our ward?”

“If my grandfather suffers any problems due to the stress today, who will be responsible?”

“This has been going on for several days. Why drag others down with your personal problems?”

Wang Li laughed shamelessly, “You enjoy privilege and you don’t even want others to mention it!”

“It’s all just because you have some money at home.”
