When Cheng Jia arrived at the construction site, it was already dusk.

MO Xiuchen and Luo Haofeng were each wearing a safety helmet, standing on the construction site, and talking with the chief engineer about the blueprint. Occasionally they would glance up at the skyscraper in front of them.

Seeing Cheng Jia, Luo Haofeng’s eyes narrowed sharply. He lightly nudged MO Xiuchen with his elbow and softly said, “Why did Cheng Jia come here? Did you invite her?”

MO Xiuchen didn’t even lift his head, his eyes on the blueprint. He answered in a flat tone, “Yeah, this afternoon, she called saying she had something to give me. I don’t know why, but she didn’t get to the office for more than an hour. When I came out, I asked her to come here to avoid her running into Xiao

Wenqing at the office which might lead to any unwanted situation.”

A hint of surprise flashed in Luo Haofengs eyes. He casually said, “I saw her on the street with Bai Xiaoxiao and Wen Ran, but she didn’t see us. She turned into an alleyway. I don’t know what for.”

MO Xiuchen’s gaze sharpened. He looked up at Luo Haofeng. “She said there was a traffic jam, but actually, there was no traffic jam on that route today. I know. ”

Luo Haofeng roared with laughter, “It seems Cheng Jia has been up to no good.”

“Never mind her.”

MO Xiuchen glanced at Cheng Jia, who was quickly approaching them, ending his conversation with Luo Haofeng.

A short while later, Cheng Jia reached them. She looked at MO Xiuchen, her eyes filled with a subtle joy, but she didn’t dare display it too openly. She simply greeted him respectfully, “Young Master MO!”

“Wait a few minutes.”

MO Xiuchen kept his eyes on the blueprint, listening to the chief engineer speak. He didn’t even glance at Cheng Jia. She pursed her lips and whispered ‘okay’, standing quietly listening to their conversation.

After ten minutes, MO Xiuchen and Luo Haofeng took off their safety helmets. Cheng Jia followed them off the construction site to the car parked nearby.

“Ah Feng, you can go first.”

MO Xiuchen said flatly to Luo Haofeng.

Luo Haofeng nodded, glanced at Cheng Jia in her sexy outfit, got into his car, and drove off.

“You can talk now.”

MO Xiuchen leaned nonchalantly against the car. He didn’t open the car door, or show any intention of letting Cheng Jia get in. Cheng Jia hesitated, then said softly, “Young Master MO, could I invite you for a cup of coffee? Some things are inconvenient to speak of here.”

As she spoke, she looked around. Considering they were at a construction site currently under intense build-up, the noise indeed made having a conversation difficult.

A hint of consideration crossed MO Xiuchen’s eyes. He turned around, opened the car door, and got in.

Cheng Jia’s face lit up. She was about to go around the front of the car and get in the passenger seat when MO Xiuchen stopped her, “Sit in the back.”

She paused her expression freezing.

“Young Master MO, how could I let you play the chauffeur for me?”

When MO Xiuchen asked her to sit in the back, he was only concerned about her dirtying Wen Ran’s seat. He hardly cared about he becoming her chauffeur because of that.

Seeing a hint of annoyance cross MO Xiuchen’s face, Cheng Jia tightly clenched her fists. She opened the backdoor, bent down, and climbed in.

In the café

MO Xiuchen leaned back in his chair, his deep and narrow eyes lazily watching Cheng Jia across the table. She pulled out a locked diary from her bag. It was pink— obviously the one she used to write down her inner thoughts.

“Young Master MO, I have recorded everything that has happened in recent years in this diary.”

She held out the diary with both hands to MO Xiuchen.

MO Xiuchen’s eyes narrowed sharply, his gaze on Cheng Jia more critical and scrutinizing, seemingly questioning the truth of her statement.

Under his sharp gaze, Cheng Jia straightened her back subconsciously, forcing herself to withstand the formidable pressure he exuded. She insisted that he take the diary.

The diary contained not only what MO Xiuchen wanted but also her own emotions.

When she first wrote this diary, she did it hoping that MO Xiuchen would read it someday. Thus, any dirty deeds she performed naturally didn’t make it onto the diary—she was smart about that.
