Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

More crucially, Lu Fan did not trust Wang Tianlang. Rather than keeping only Wang Tianlang as a guide, it would be better to find two more subordinates. This way, with both parties unable to secretly collude, they would find it difficult to lie since any deception would likely expose flaws to him.

However, what Lu Fan needed to do now was ensure that Yuan Jingang and Li Qingfeng were completely convinced and understood how strong he was.

Just as Lu Fan was considering whether to give these two another thorough beating to completely subdue them, sounds suddenly came from the distance. It was unmistakably Wang Tianlang’s laughter.

This laughter did not originate from the lake but from the direction where the Red Treasure Chest was located.

Lu Fan looked up and saw that Wang Tianlang, who had been quiet for quite some time, had somehow reached the Red Treasure Chest. He had dragged the Treasure Chest onto a white bone and had already opened it.

Moreover, he was now wearing a suit of massive black armour that, while different from the Purgatory Lord, bore some resemblance to it.

It appeared that Wang Tianlang had made extremely thorough preparations for the God’s Tomb Secret Realm. He possessed not only the Purgatory Lord as a Pet Equipment Type but had also prepared another backup of the same calibre.

Although he had nearly been killed by Lu Fan, he remained calm and calculative. He had never revealed that he possessed a backup Pet until now, when he finally shed his disguise as a weakling.

“The Red Treasure Chest! How did he manage to open it!?” Yuan Jingang and Li Qingfeng turned to witness this scene and were immediately shocked, their expressions extremely complex.

Clearly, while they were engaged in combat with Lu Fan, Wang Tianlang had reaped the benefits while they fought, quietly opening the Red Treasure Chest that no one had time to attend to and claiming the Rewards for himself.

If Lu Fan had obtained the Red Treasure Chest’s Rewards, that would have been acceptable. After all, Lu Fan was that strong, and claiming the Treasure Chest would be perfectly reasonable.

But who was Wang Tianlang? He had not even reached Level 110. What right did he have to claim the Red Treasure Chest?

Yuan Jingang and Li Qingfeng were practically mad with jealousy towards Wang Tianlang.

What made them even more envious followed immediately.

Wang Tianlang knew that his loud laughter had attracted everyone’s attention, particularly Lu Fan’s, whose eyes even contained some killing intent.

However, he showed no fear whatsoever. Completely abandoning his previous submissive demeanour, he taunted. “What are you looking at?! Did you really think that just because I called you Brother Lu this whole time, I would obey your every word? Didn’t expect it, did you? Besides the Purgatory Lord, I also have a Dark Lord that can provide me with Attributes no less than the Purgatory Lord! From now on, this God’s Tomb Secret Realm will be under my command! After all, I have now obtained it!”
