Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 602, First Grade Talisman, Even Dogs Won’t Use It

“The God Slaying Ballista is that overpowering?” Lu Fan was rather surprised upon hearing this.

“Even if no one’s Base Endurance Attribute can reach as high as two million, surely some have a Level 100 Divine Skills that can boost their Attributes to reach that high? Also, there are some Skills that grant Invulnerability for a period of time, as well as items that are usable. The God Slaying Ballista only has three bolts. It should be possible to withstand its attacks.”

“No, no, no!” Wang Tianlang shook his head repeatedly, speaking earnestly. “Using a Level 100 Divine Skill to forcibly resist the God Slaying Ballista is a fool’s errant. Perhaps among those who’ve come to participate in the God’s Tomb Secret Realm, some might be able to accomplish this. But Brother Lu, don’t forget that there are things like Skill Restriction Stone Seals.”

“Using a Skill Restriction Stone Seal, one can instantly seal an opponent’s Skills. If the opponent cannot take out a Skill Restriction Stone Seal to counter, they’ll be unable to use any Skills. Under such circumstances, whoever possesses the God Slaying Ballista would have an absolute advantage, wouldn’t they?”

“As for items… I forgot to mention earlier that the God Slaying Ballista has another domineering aspect to it: it can ignore all Protective Barriers formed by items and directly deal True Damage. That is to say, once struck by the God Slaying Ballista, one can only rely on their own Attributes to endure it. There’s no other method.”

“Anyone who possesses both Skill Restriction Stone Seals and the God Slaying Ballista basically has complete rule over our lives.”

“Skill Restriction Stone Seals are relatively easy to obtain. In the later stages within God’s Tomb Secret Realm, basically everyone will have one or two in their possession. So, once someone obtains the God Slaying Ballista, they’ll most likely use their Skill Restriction Stone Seal to restrict their opponent’s Skills, then use the God Slaying Ballista to snipe their enemies off. One that happens, no one can survive. That’s why I stressed how you must be especially careful of the God Slaying Ballista.”

“I see…” Lu Fan nodded, indicating his understanding.

However, to be completely honest, Lu Fan still did not take the God Slaying Ballista to heart.

Why? Because it only killed Players with Endurance Attribute below two million.

But Lu Fan’s Endurance had already far exceeded two million. He need not fear this Secret Realm Bound Relic whatsoever.

Therefore, while the God Slaying Ballista and the Skill Restriction Stone Seals were extremely important to others, to Lu Fan, they were completely dispensable.

In comparison, what Lu Fan valued were the Rewards within the God’s Tomb Secret Realm, and the Final Reward, the Divine Tempering Liquid.

In the blink of an eye, Lu Fan and Wang Tianlang had been walking for about half an hour, but they had not encountered any Monsters.

Wang Tianlang explained that this was actually normal. After all, the whole Map of the God’s Tomb Secret Realm was huge. Also, no Monsters spawned near where Players landed. Otherwise, if someone landed next to a Boss and was carelessly killed by it, wouldn’t that be too unfair?

Generally speaking within about thirty kilometres around each Player, the number of Monsters would be few to none.

But in more distant areas, the number of Monsters would gradually increase.

As if to confirm Wang Tianlang’s words, the two had not walked much further when sounds came from ahead. A Steel Armoured Earth Dragon, like a small mountain, crushed through the dense forest as it charged towards them.

Lu Fan used Appraisal and discovered this was a Level 100 Silver Grade Boss.

Although it was a Boss, to everyone who could enter the God’s Tomb Secret Realm, it was no different to a Mob. Basically, no one would be frightened by such a Monster.

Only Diamond Grade and above could truly be considered Bosses in this Secret Realm.

As for Epic Grade Bosses, they were even rarer. It was said that around any Epic Grade Boss, there was a thirty percent chance of discovering a Red Treasure Chest.

The current Wang Tianlang, having lost his Purgatory Lord and unable to summon other Pets, had basically lost all Combat Power. So, upon seeing this Steel Armoured Earth Dragon, his expression changed dramatically and he immediately hid behind Lu Fan.
