Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 462, Lu Fan’s Final Card

Translator: Silavin

The ‘Eternal Phase’ that the Devouring Dragon King spoke of was indeed something Lu Fan was unfamiliar with. He did not understand how it fit in a Giant Dragon’s growth cycle and what it represented. What Level does a Dragon typically need to reach to be in their Eternal Phase?

But now, it appeared that when Dragons reached their Eternal Phase, they could transform into Humans and abandon their Dragon Form.

In their Human Form, they would be able to maximise their Bloodline Traits to maximum effect. For example, if a Blue Dragon transformed into a Human, their Mana Attribute would become higher, allowing them to cast Magic Skills with greater power.

This was all the information about the Eternal Phase that Lu Fan could gather from what the Devouring Dragon King had said.

At the same time, Lu Fan also learned that when the Devouring Dragon King transformed, she had to choose a specific Dragon Bloodline, which was the Shadow Dragon Bloodline.

This meant that although her overall Combat Power had decreased significantly, her abilities for assassination, like those of a real Shadow Dragon, had become much more prominent.

Before this, Lu Fan had barely managed to withstand her offensive by transforming into his Golden Dragon King Form, needing the help of Xiao Cui to sustain himself. Now that the Devouring Dragon King’s Armour Piercing was stronger, she could likely kill him with ease.

If Lu Fan had not used Golden Form to avoid that strike just now, he would most likely have been seriously injured if not dead!

Golden Form was ultimately just a Skill from his armour, and it had a Cooldown. Lu Fan could not use it continuously.

Even if he could use it continuously, Lu Fan might be able to protect himself, but if the Devouring Dragon King attacked Xiao Ye, Xing Chen, Bao Bao and his other ‘Dragon Children’, could he possibly bear to watch and do nothing?

At this point, the Devouring Dragon King’s attack had exceeded Lu Fan’s defence – a truly troublesome circumstance…

Lu Fan’s expression became solemn, but he relaxed again and helplessly smiled. [This Night Terror Mission isn’t that easy to complete after all.]

If he did not use up his final trump card, even if he killed the Devouring Dragon King, he would have to pay an enormous price.

Seeing Lu Fan’s expression changed from gloomy to bright, showing no despair but instead remaining relaxed, a look of confusion appeared on the Devouring Dragon King’s beautiful face, but it quickly vanished.

“At this point, what reason do you have to still be smiling? Are you smiling because in a moment, you can be quickly killed, without experiencing any suffering?”

Lu Fan smiled and shook his head. “No, I’m just smiling because you truly are strong. But you won’t be able to kill me. That’s just plainly impossible. I still need your blood. I hope that after transforming into your Human Form, this new body of yours still retains your Devouring Dragon King Bloodline.”

After speaking, Lu Fan reverted from his Golden Dragon King Form back to his normal Human Form, and at the same time, spread open his arms.

The Devouring Dragon King initially thought Lu Fan was giving up, but then countless silver lights erupted from his body, so dazzling that even the Devouring Dragon King found them blinding.

The Devouring Dragon King could clearly feel a pulling force from Lu Fan’s body, attracting the Dragon Blood within her. It was a force continuously washing through her body.

A strong feeling surged in her heart – the urge to follow the pull of her Bloodline, to throw herself into Lu Fan’s embrace and merge with him as one.

After this feeling emerged, the Devouring Dragon King belatedly realised and questioned why her thoughts were so strange!

[What is this silver light emanating from the Dragon Tamer? Why did it have such a great attraction for me, a Giant Dragon!?]

She struggled to open her eyes to look at Lu Fan, and was shocked to discover that in the intense silver light, all of Lu Fan’s Pet Dragons were flying toward him one by one.

At this moment, Lu Fan was as dazzling as the Sun, and the Devouring Dragon King could only see one Pet Dragon after another flying into it, making this Sun bigger and brighter!

But she could not clearly see what was happening to Lu Fan’s body.
