Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

[Is Boss Lu Fan just a really nice person? Even though I’m from South Country, even though I was hostile toward Dragon Country and even wanted to kill him to become a South Country’s hero, Boss Lu Fan still showed me such great compassion! Not only has he saved me, but he has even encouraged me to work harder!?]

[Is this what it means to have the bearing of a large country? Amazing…]

Yasanglai’s eyes grew moist as he secretly vowed to work even harder at gaining points.

…

Meanwhile, after riding away on Xiao Ye, Lu Fan’s destination was not his Dark Castle.

Although the Dark Castle was very comfortable, Lu Fan knew that he was not here to tour around in luxury. He was here to find ways to gain points.

The Mission he just received was beyond Lu Fan’s expectations.

Because although this was still a Hunting Mission, the target was not a Monster, but a person.

The Mission showed that to complete it, Lu Fan needed to kill Eternal Country’s representative, Kiran.

Kiran’s location was shown on the map, just like the Diabolical Hell Demon for his previous Mission.

Lu Fan only needed to follow the Mission’s guidance to find Kiran.

It had to be said that representative Hunting Missions were very rare in the National Trial. Out of a thousand Missions in the Secret Realms, there might only be five representative Hunting Missions.

However, these Missions offered extremely generous reward points. It was said completing one representative Hunting Mission would earn at least a hundred thousand points.

Of course, if the target killed the hunter instead, they would receive the reward points.

This Mission was designed to make the National Trial more competitive, encouraging representatives to take points from other countries’ representatives through displaying their strength and wit.

The best way to gain more wagered resources was not to farm for more points, but to eliminate everyone else.

If one could eliminate all twenty-two countries’ representatives, even if the last survivor only had a hundred points, their country would still take all the wagered resources.

Naturally, Lu Fan had to complete such a Mission after receiving it.

He could get both the Mission reward and kill a ‘fat pig’ – was this not perfect for him?

Moreover, the target was Eternal Country’s representative Kiran, ranked in T1. Lu Fan estimated he must have quite a few points, at least, more than Yasanglai.

[Killing him should net at least fifty thousand points.]

Since the Dark Castle moved too slowly, Lu Fan planned on riding Xiao Ye to pursue Kiran.

Kiran was currently in another region. Riding Xiao Ye would take nearly three hours to fly there. With the Dark Castle’s speed, they might not arrive within 24 hours.

…

Meanwhile, on another swamp map.

Here, trees grew thickly and Poisonous Miasma permeated the air. A seven-coloured giant python over twenty metres long suddenly emerged from a swamp pool, instantly killing a Level 65 Gold Grade Boss with its tail.

Then, the seven-coloured giant python raised its body and opened its bloody maw.

In its mouth, a young man with wheat-coloured skin played with a rattlesnake in his hand while looking at the bloody knife icon displayed above his head.

“Someone’s accepted a Mission to hunt me? Interesting.” The man smiled, then stuck out his snake-like tongue and licked his lips.
