Two-Faced Husband, Have Some Decency!

”No need, no need,” Director Zhao understood what Song Yu meant. Actually, there was no important task under Song Yu, thus there was no need extra time to hand over. Since Song Yu had decided to quit, there was no reason for him to drag and make this ugly. He replied, ”At your convenience. You can leave right away if you want. You just need to organize the remaining task and pass it to Xiao Ruan, there’s nothing much to hand over.”

Song Yu answered with satisfaction and returned to the office. She arranged the files in her place and passed them to Ruan Danchen.

Ruan Danchen was very sad when she heard the news that Song Yu was going to resign and was packing up. She felt rather down and her eyes turned red just by thinking of it.

”Even though I already knew this was going to happen sooner or later, I’ll be all alone once you leave. My heart feels empty, it hurts so bad.” Ruan Danchen and Song Yu were in the lounge by themselves. She said with a muffled voice, ”You haven’t come to work for two months, but I knew that you’re on leave and that you’re going to come back one day, which gave me hope. Now you’re going to be gone after you resign. When I think about not having someone to talk to when I turn around during work, that resolves any motivation I have left.”

”Why are you saying as if we’re not going to see each other again?” Song Yu said in amusement. ”I won’t be going to work, but I have free time. We can come out and meet any time we want. You can rant to me whatever happened in the company at our gatherings, you can even come to find me at Viewpark Residence.”

They might even become sisters-in-law in the future. Why worry about not meeting each other?

Song Yu did not say that because she was afraid that Ruan Danchen would feel embarrassed since she had never mentioned it herself.

Ruan Danchen nodded dejectedly. This was their only choice.

”I’m almost done packing up. Let’s have lunch together, I won’t be here after that,” Song Yu said. ”If you’re bored during the weekends, you can spend time with me.”

Ruan Danchen recollected herself and smiled before accompanying Song Yu out of the lounge.

Song Yu called Qi Chengzhi and told him she would not be having lunch with him.

Qi Chengzhi heard that Song Yu was having lunch with Ruan Danchen, he arched his brows and said, ”You’re going to disappoint two men.”

Song Yu stunned for a moment before understanding what Qi Chengzhi meant. She stole a glance at Ruan Danchen who was sitting on her table. She dared not let her hear and lowered her voice to reply, ”You find Chenglin to have lunch then.”

Song Yu could hear Qi Chengzhi’s gentle chuckle through the phone. ”I’ll let Chang Lai pick you guys.”

”Uhm…” Song Yu nodded. ”Are you busy today?”

”Not at all, I planned to pick you up myself,” Qi Chengzhi said in a clear voice. ”You handed your resignation?”

”It’s done. Director Zhao tried to ask me to stay, but he didn’t succeed. I’m officially leaving after today,” Song Yu answered calmly.

After hanging up, Song Yu and Ruan Danchen headed for lunch. They used Qi Chengzhi’s room without Manager Qian asking which room they wanted to dine in.

…

…

They left Dynasty after finishing eating. Qi Chengzhi came down from a Mercedes-Benz. From afar, he saw Song Yu and Ruan Danchen on the staircase of Dynasty. He then walked towards them with long strides.

Song Yu sincerely felt that Qi Chengzhi’s appearance every time would make her heart flutter, especially when he appeared in front of her without telling her beforehand. The moment when he walked towards her, her heart would be racing exceptionally fast.

”Why are you here?” Qi Chengzhi stood on the stairs one step lower than her, but he was still half a head taller. Song Yu felt a sense of warmth when she saw him, her voice also turned gentler.

”I estimate that you’re almost done with lunch, so I’m here to fetch you back to the office.” Qi Chengzhi sized her up and made sure she was fine before greeting Ruan Danchen. He then said to Song Yu, ”Let’s go.”

Qi Chengzhi held Song Yu’s hand without showing any intentions of entertaining Ruan Danchen. Song Yu yanked him and said, ”Let’s send Danchen back first.”

Qi Chengzhi glanced at Ruan Danchen with an ambiguous smile before telling Song Yu, ”You don’t have to worry, she has her own ride.”

Song Yu looked at the Mercedes-Benz curiously and felt that it seemed rather familiar.

Before she could give a clearer look, Qi Chengzhi already brought her into the car and left.

”Aren’t you busy this afternoon?” Song Yu asked.
