Two-Faced Husband, Have Some Decency!

The cold night air was still lingering on Qi Chengzhi’s body. He looked very casual as his sleeves remained folded up to his elbows. When Song Yu kissed him, he instinctively wrapped his arms around her waist. A sense of pride was present when he saw how his actions made her bubbling with radiance. He squeezed her soft body and lowered his head to kiss her.

”Time to eat.” Qi Chengzhi led her to sit down. ”The weather is hot so it didn’t turn cold too fast.”

Song Yu held the food. It was still very hot, which made her feel a bit worried. ”You didn’t speed on your way back right?”

”What are you thinking about? There’s no way I can speed with the road conditions in B City.” Qi Chengzhi sat beside her. His hands hugged her waist instinctively.

Song Yu opened the container of hot-and-sour noodles, then drank a spoonful of soup. Qi Chengzhi saw that and shuddered. ”You’re only allowed to eat these things once-in-a-while. It’s not nutritious at all. When I was waiting, I saw the vendor add all kinds of unknown flavorings, and I was just shocked to see all that. And the pan-fried stuffed buns, the oil wasn’t very clean.”

”I know. I just wanted to satisfy my craving this time. I was really craving it.” Song Yu took a bite out of the bun, leaving her lips glossy with oil. ”When we eat out, you only ever let me eat at Dynasty. Dynasty does have this kind of snacks, but they taste very different from those stalls. Grandma and Mom are always keeping watch over me, and whenever they see me, they’ll say that I can’t eat this and that because it’s bad for me. I just feel like my mouth is really bland right now.”

Qi Chengzhi smiled and took out a tissue from the tissue box, wiping her mouth with it. ”Back then, Youxuan was directly brought home by Chenglin, so Grandma didn’t get too emotionally invested. Now, she’s paying special attention to your firstborn.”

Speaking of Qi Chenglin, Song Yu recounted the episode that happened inside the group chat. ”Looks like Chenglin is chasing after Danchen. If that’s not the case, he wouldn’t have kicked out Han Zhuoli and Gui Zhiqian just because they made a joke.”

Qi Chengzhi simply smiled while Song Yu was happy from eating all that food. Slurping some noodles, she said, ”Now that I think about it, you both are really brothers. Both petty.”

”Who are you talking about?” Qi Chengzhi grasped her waist more tightly and was about to stretch his hand over to take away the bowl of noodles from her. ”Don’t eat so much. It’s all full of seasoning.”

”See, aren’t you the petty one here?” Song Yu latched onto her bowl of noodles and quickly sweet-talked him. ”To tell you the truth, I think it’s good to be petty and intolerant of people who lust after someone you love. I like it.”

Song Yu held the hot-and-sour noodles and kissed him in order to coax him.

Qi Chengzhi looked askance at her and licked his lips, tasting the hot-and-sour flavor. Song Yu felt guilty because of his gaze and smiled awkwardly. She placed the bowl of noodles down and said, ”I’m full.”

Qi Chengzhi took her chopsticks without saying a word and chowed down on her remaining food.

…

…

Qi Chengzhi ordered room service the next morning and they even brought him a copy of the morning paper.

As he had breakfast, he read the news on world affairs while Song Yu browsed through the entertainment section. She flipped and noticed that Qi Chengzhi appeared on the pages.

The picture depicted him holding the food from the previous night. Although he was only visible through his rear figure, it did not look befitting at all.

The headline read: Qi Chengzhi spent a wonderful night with his wife in a hotel, but two hours later, he went out to get some supper for his wife.

”…” Song Yu placed the paper to one side. ”Reporters nowadays seem to have nothing better to do. They even want to report these kinds of things.”

Qi Chengzhi looked at the paper and replied plainly, ”Just wait for Grandma’s call.”

Song Yu thought of the street snacks that was shown on the paper and felt a headache come over her immediately.

True enough, the old lady came calling barely moments after Qi Chengzhi completed his sentence.

Feeling numb in the head, Song Yu greeted, ”Grandma.”

”My dear Song Yu, you ate some unhealthy food last night?” the old lady asked calmly.
