The Medical Guru

Fang Qiu walks onto the campus of Jiangjing University like he's got nothing to prove, and that's exactly the point. While the rest of the freshmen sweat through military drills and figure out where the cafeteria is, he's got his nose in orthopedic treatises written centuries before anyone alive today. Nobody around him has a clue why.Years back, some old master pulled him aside and trained him in martial arts, no explanation given, until one day the man admitted he was sick and then vanished before Fang Qiu could do a damn thing about it. That's the whole reason he's chasing Chinese medicine now — not for the degree, not for the title, just so he can get good enough to track the guy down and fix whatever's wrong with him.He tries to keep his head down. Skips the attention, blends into dorm life, treats the whole university thing as a means to an end rather than a stage. Except his class adviser won't let him fade into the background, and somehow he ends up performing at the Mid-Autumn Festival — plays a hand-flute in front of the entire student body, and the sound that comes out of him leaves people standing there with their mouths open. That's the tension running under everything: dorm gossip and awkward freshman energy on one side, and on the other, a guy who's spent years building skills most people can't even imagine having. When some rich kid's carelessness sparks trouble on campus, Fang Qiu doesn't wait around weighing his options, he just steps in, because to him, strength that doesn't protect anyone isn't worth having - yup, sounds kinda cliche bbut it works for him.
