Star Martial Era: The Way of Star Light Cultivation

”That depends on your relative performance! For example, in a few months, if you can still be the First True Inheritor of this session, or during the Lougong Battle in two months, if you can make it into the top ten, my clan leader will also look upon you favorably.

Things like these, as long as your performance is sufficiently outstanding, I can persuade my clan leader to pass on the secret Sixth Tier Lower Willow Catkins Star Pattern of the Liu Clan to you,” Liu Qingzhu said.

”I understand! Teacher, may I ask, what are the specific manifestations of the differences in ranks of Star Patterns?” Xu Jin asked.

”Of course, it’s the might of the Star Skill.”

”Basically, a small rank difference represents a ten percent difference in might.

For instance, the same person learning a Mid-tier Fire Origin Star Pattern of the Fourth Tier Upper, as opposed to learning an Initial Tier Fire Origin Star Pattern of the Third Tier Upper, will see a thirty percent difference in Star Skill might!

This kind of power difference is more frightening the higher the cultivation level!

Once reaching the Sixth and Seventh Tier and above, a three small rank difference in Star Pattern rank might result in an insurmountable gap,” Liu Qingzhu explained.

This, Xu Jin understood.

The larger the base number, the greater the disparity in the later stages.

”Which one do you want to learn? As before, given your talent, I will directly teach you the top Star Pattern related to the field, rather than teaching you a low-tier Pattern first and then making you pass an assessment for a new one,” Liu Qingzhu asked.

After some thought, Xu Jin felt both Star Patterns were quite suitable for him.

The Meteor Star Pattern of the National Taoist Institute mainly focused on speed and burst, which seemed better suited for escaping danger.

While the Liu Clan’s Willow Catkins Star Pattern accounted for both speed and the cleverness and unpredictability of the movement technique, making it more useful in actual combat.

Naturally, he needed to learn the one with more practical combat utility first.

Moreover, the Willow Catkins Star Pattern currently being passed to Xu Jin was Fourth Tier Upper, but there were higher ranked patterns available with more growth potential.

Xu Jin initially chose the Willow Catkins Star Pattern, but as he was about to speak, he boldly asked, ”Teacher, I want to learn both the Meteor and Willow Catkins Star Patterns. Can you teach me both?”

This was something he could only dare to ask of Liu Qingzhu. If it were the atmosphere at the Academician Fang Shihan’s, Xu Jin wouldn’t have dared to be so bold.
