Star Martial Era: The Way of Star Light Cultivation

Chapter 156: Chapter 105: Sister’s Opportunity and Pure as Jade (Please Subscribe) _2

After today’s Refining Star at the Fourth Layer, Star Arrow, sixty feet, Star Ring, nine feet, and the Star Rope were extended to fourteen and a half feet.

The power of the Star Skill increased once again.

”Teacher, if it’s possible to enhance the Divine Soul Power so quickly, wouldn’t it be feasible to request a teacher’s Star Power Body Infusion periodically? This way, one could continually enhance their Divine Soul Power. Isn’t it like cheating?” Xu Jin asked this of Qi Shanye in the backyard.

”Cheating? What do you mean?” Qi Shanye was puzzled by the term.

”Uh...”

Xu Jin was at a loss for words; it was a concept that everyone understood, but it was difficult to explain here.

”Teacher, it’s essentially an unnatural external support...” Xu Jin said, finally managing to explain the concept of cheating.

”Isn’t that just cheating? It took you so long to explain. It seems you also need to study literature with me seriously.”

Qi Shanye looked down on Xu Jin.

”That won’t work. The paths you can see are visible to the experts at various Star Halls and National Taoist Institutes as well.

Such an enhancement of Divine Soul Power after Star Power Body Infusion is actually a result of extreme devastation inflicted on the cultivators’ Divine Souls.

The more times it’s done, the weaker the effects.

Typically, the first two times are most effective. The third time, the effects diminish significantly, and by the fourth and fifth times, there are virtually no effects. Moreover, if care is not taken, it might actually damage the Divine Soul, which would be a loss.” Qi Shanye explained.

The teacher and disciple talked for a while, and just as Xu Jin was preparing to enter the Star-picking Tower to battle ’No Big Deal’ again, Qi Shanye suddenly asked, ”Do you plan to let your sister undergo Star Pointing?”

”Yes, Teacher. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have taught her the frames of Five Battles Killing Fist so she can get accustomed to it earlier.”

During these days at home, Xu Jin had taken advantage of his free time to teach his sister Xu Jiang the frames of the Five Battles Killing Fist so that she could become familiar with them in advance.

That way, when it was time for Star Pointing, it would save a few days.

After all, mastering the Five Battles Killing Fist would also take several days.

This isn’t considered cheating.

Xu Jin had already learned from his chats with Lu Xianbing and Yu Guan that any family with a bit of cultivation background would lay the foundation before their children entered the Taoist Institute for Star Pointing.

For instance, they would have already mastered Five Battles Killing Fist.

As soon as they pointed the stars, they could begin Body Refining without any delay.

Once Xu Jin planned for his sister to undergo Star Pointing, he started teaching her.

”Since you wish your sister to undergo Star Pointing, would you like to increase her chances of success and make her cultivation speed faster after successful Star Pointing?” Qi Shanye said.

Xu Jin was surprised, ”Is there such a method?”

”Of course.”

Qi Shanye nodded, ”Noble families within the Star Hall have such methods, which are considered part of some cultivational families’ background. But don’t expect too much improvement.

For example, if you prepare in advance, you could enable someone who originally couldn’t undergo Star Pointing to succeed and gain the qualification to cultivate.

It could increase the talent from C- to C or from C to C+, or even boost someone from B+ to A-, but that’s about it.

It’s just gilding the lily.”

Xu Jin was overjoyed to hear this.

His biggest worry had been that his sister, Xu Jiang, wouldn’t be able to cultivate.

If Jiang’er could cultivate, even if her talent was poor, Xu Jin, with his ability to provide Nourishing Pills, could still help her advance to Refining Star at the Ninth Layer.

To think, Qi Shanye had such a method.

”Teacher, what do I need to prepare? I’ll start right away,” Xu Jin said eagerly.

”What needs to be prepared?”

Qi Shanye smiled, ”An uninitiated youth under eighteen, and an expert of the Fifth Tier or above. Where will you find such preparations?”

Xu Jin suddenly realized what was needed and promptly stood up to thank him, ”It’s tough on you, Teacher.”

”You’re my disciple; it’s only natural.”

Later, Xu Jin generally understood the method.
