Guide to Raising a Supporting Male Lead

Chapter 140: Falling Waves (1)

There was an indescribable tacit understanding between the two people. Lin Xinyu could feel her mood with just a look at her actions.

”I’ll make it for you, but don’t eat too much.” He suppressed his joy and replied.

He calmly and slowly walked out of the room and called out to Father and Mother Lin.

Perhaps used to it, her parents haggardly went to see their daughter, happily asking how she was doing.

Lin Xin was afraid her parents would worry. She told them that she was in a coma and that In the future, she would pay more attention to her health so that they wouldn’t worry.

The day after she’d fallen into a coma, seeing that Lin Xin did not come down to eat, they asked Lin Shuhao to bring her. However, he couldn’t wake her up. This had happened before, there was no use calling for a doctor. They could only wait for her to wake up on her own.

From the time Lin Xin was born, the doctor had said she was weak and hard to raise. Father and Mother Lin put a lot of effort into bringing up their daughter. The doctor was bewildered to see the short-lived girl grow into her twenties.

A few months ago, she had woken up looking much better, like a normal person. Her parents were gratified that she could finally get married and have children like ordinary people. Then, she came back from the trip to the villa and fell asleep again, and there was nothing anyone could do to wake her up, the doctor had his hands tied.

From the time she was born, each year she lived in this world was a year stolen from the heavens. With Lin Xin’s chronic condition, they had long accepted the fact that she would leave. There was no heartbreak, only a touch of sadness. They hoped she would have a good body in the next life, be an ordinary girl who could go to school, love, marry, and have children.

Lin Shuhao was rushed to the company to make money so the old couple could guard their daughter. Whether she woke up or not was fate, and they were resigned to it.

However, Lin Xinyu, who heard of the situation, broke into their house and stayed by Lin Xin’s side. When he learned of her illness, he took care of Lin Xin even more carefully than the nurse. Gently washing her face and getting her cleaned every day.

Father and Mother Lin were kind people. If their daughter was in good health, they’d want her to marry, but their daughter was in poor health. They didn’t want her to drag anyone down. She wouldn’t get better in a day or two. They didn’t think she would ever live normally.

Even if she woke up, it was uncertain if she’d fall asleep that very day. Why drag another down? He still had a long way to go and held no obligation towards their daughter.

Father and Mother Lin shortly told Lin Xinyu about her illness, to stop him early and free him to find love again.

In the face of Father and Mother Lin’s persuasion, Lin Xinyu was silent. No matter how they drove him away, he would not leave, staying by Lin Xin’s side to take care of her. His resolve impressed Father and Mother Lin. His body and spirit thinned as if to live and die with Lin Xin.

Father and Mother Lin had experienced the ups and downs in life for more than fifty years. Knowing their daughter’s situation, he didn’t abandon her. He may have been flirtatious in the past, but now he was interested in their daughter, and that was enough.

Mother Lin sat at the head of the bed and asked her daughter, ”Do you like Xiaoyu?”

Lin Xin thought for a moment. She did not want to answer the question.

”After seeing him these past few days, Mom thinks he is a nice man. If you don’t have someone in your heart, try to accept him. He’ll make a good husband.” Her mother advised.

When Lin Xin woke up, she had decided to try and forgive him for what he had done before. And before she had even settled in, her mother had jumped to the ’husband’ hurdle. This caught her a little off guard. She knew that Lin Xinyu liked her, but she still couldn’t accept the word ’husband’.

Why was it so weird?
