The Heir is Here: Quiet Down, School Prince!

Chapter 168: The Heir to the Gu Family

Seeing the little one all bristled up, Sheng Yize smiled inwardly and said mildly, ”Go ahead.”

An Xiaxia’s eyes sparkled as she ripped the box open and secretly stashed one away in her pocket. A moment later, she asked with vexation, ”If your fans hear that I ate the chocolate they gave you, wouldn’t they beat me up?”

Sheng Yize shrugged, giving her a ”that’s none of my business and good luck” look.

An Xiaxia grumbled, ”That’s so hurtful. I’d be super sad if someone else ate the food I gave my idol…”

The corner of Sheng Yize’s mouth twitched. ”Compared with giving it to you, throwing it away would be much more hurtful, wouldn’t it?”

An Xiaxia pondered that for a moment: wow, that actually made a lot of sense.

She happily stuffed more chocolate into her pockets before darting a timid look at Sheng Yize. ”You don’t mind, do you?”

Sheng Yize pursed his lips. This little dummy. As if he could do anything even if he minded.

That afternoon, the cheer squad assembled and there was an announcement.

Another basketball game would take place this Wednesday with Qixia against Shengyin.

Shengyin was known for their great basketball team. It was said that they had an ice prince captain this year, whose handsome face had stolen many the hearts of teenage girls.

However… Qi Yanxi had asked for an extended leave of absence and wouldn’t be coming to school for a while.

Both the basketball team and the cheer squad exploded at the news. With the main player away and a tough opponent, how was it possible for them to win the game?

Members of the basketball team couldn’t help but complain a little —

”That’s not very decent of Young Master Qi. Why would he take a leave of absence now?”

”Well, what can we do about it? Rich people always have their own way of doing things. The school is his family’s and he can do whatever he wants.”

”Kang Jian is injured, too… how the hell are we going to get through this one?!” The team captain scratched his head anxiously.

An Xiaxia couldn’t understand it either. She called Qi Yanxi in private and tried to find out what was going on.

However, all her phone calls were rejected.

–

Wednesday arrived soon enough.

Qixia was still playing at home.

When Shengyin’s team arrived, the stadium filled with shrieks.

Their main player was… sooo handsome!

He had a chiseled face, exquisite features, and an aloof look in his eyes. With his tall figure and long limbs, the teenager looked irresistible.

An Xiaxia couldn’t help turning into fangirl mode as she eyed the young man, pink hearts flying out of her eyes.

”He’s so handsome…”

”Exactly. Gimme his photo and I’ll worship it for a year on end!” Su Xiaomo’s smile was no less covetous.

”I heard he’s Gu Zichen, the heir to the Gu Group!!” said a girl in high spirits.

Gu Zichen?

That was a nice name, which left an even better impression on An Xiaxia.

However, as soon as the game started, the students of Qixia felt silent right away.

They had to admit that Gu Zichen was playing beautifully with excellent skills. The Shengyin team also worked perfectly together.

They would be delighted if such a great team was their own.

However, with a capable opponent and Qixia’s broken team, there really wasn’t anything for them to be delighted about.

Qixia was utterly crushed in the game.

When the whistle finally blew, the difference in points was too miserable to look at.

Gu Zichen stood amidst the crowd like he was king of the basketball court. He then led the Shengyin team out in a nonchalant manner.

A hush fell over the Qixia students.

Gradually, some girls began to cry.

Even An Xiaxia felt sad.

She was only in the cheer squad for cute guys. Now that she had finally seen one, she realized that no matter how cute they were, it was nothing compared with the honor of her home team.

Wouldn’t it be great if Qixia had been the winning team?
