The Heir is Here: Quiet Down, School Prince!

Chapter 136: I Thought You Would Call Me An Idiot (2)

”Now it hurts? What were you thinking in the water!” Sheng Yize give her head a hard flick. Seeing her innocent pout, he gave her another one.

Only this time it was much gentler.

”I was afraid that you’d call me an idiot… but I really didn’t do it on purpose. I passed Fanxing her script and I didn’t even touch her. I have no idea why she tripped and dropped her earring in the water…” An Xiaxia explained in a tiny voice, then looked up with glittering eyes. ”Is that earring really that expensive? What will happen if we can’t find it…”

”They’ll sell you into the mountains and make you some weird uncle’s wife. You’ll have a dozen kids with him and they’ll sell you again into some illegal coal pit as a coolie when you’re no longer pretty!” Sheng Yize teased her deliberately.

An Xiaxia took those words as truth and tears immediately welled up in her eyes. She huddled up into a little ball and looked most pitiful.

”Hm… Sheng Yize, can I pack up and run for my life now? I don’t want to be sold…” An Xiaxia jabbed the tips of her index fingers together.

Sheng Yize snorted. ”That depends on how you behave from now on.”

”Huh?”

Meanwhile, at the filming location.

A large team of people were systematically salvaging for the earring in the water, which amazed the entire crew.

”Who are these people…”

”I heard they were a professional salvage team Sheng Yize hired.”

”Tsk, tsk. He really cares about that little assistant a lot.”

”Duh, of course. Just look at how pretty that girl is… any normal teenager would like her!”

As they gossiped, Li Fanxing who was sitting in a corner gripped her script.

She had planned the whole incident that had taken place earlier today.

She had ripped the earring loose by herself and An Xiaxia had never touched her. She had done it all to humiliate An Xiaxia in front of everyone! She wanted her to look bad!

Never did she expect to see Sheng Yize stand up for An Xiaxia, without a care in the least about raising a scandal!

That wasn’t what she had wanted to see!

She was infuriated!

The earring was soon out of the water and Li Fanxing couldn’t care less about it. She promptly left the site, hiding the resolution in her eyes in the dimming light of day.

–

The An family.

Sheng Yize walked An Xiaxia to her room, holding her hand the entire time.

An Xiaxia felt her heart thumping in her chest. She finally summoned up the courage to ask him, ”Wh– why are you holding my hand?”

Sheng Yize frowned and stared at her as if he had just been told a joke.

An Xiaxia stepped back uneasily, and he moved forward, forcing An Xiaxia into a corner.

”I thought you know how I feel about you.”

”What feeling is that?” An Xiaxia asked in bewilderment. Sheng Yize looked at her with an expressionless face, then said, ”An Xiaxia, I wonder how evil I must have been in my last life to run into you in this one!”

An Xiaxia jabbed the tips of her index fingers together. ”That’s what I thought as well.”

Sheng Yize:… This little fool!!

”Then what did you think that kiss last night meant?” He ground his teeth.

Since she didn’t refuse, he had taken it for granted that she had acquiesced. He had barely slept last night and was too shy to look at her today.

No one could foresee that Sheng Yize, the young man who was never afraid of anything, would taste fear for the first time.

An Xiaxia recalled all the terrifying hypotheses she’d come up with and covered her mouth in fear.

”I– I forgot! I don’t know!” She denied stubbornly.

Sheng Yize frowned as anger began to rise inside him.

How dare she say she couldn’t remember!

Before he had a chance to lose his temper, An Xiaxia suddenly pressed her hands over her belly as all the color left her cheeks and sweat began to run down her forehead.

”Sheng Yize… I… I don’t feel well…”
