Mr Fu, I Really Love You

”Cen Mo is Lu Xiangsi’s older brother?” Lu Jinnan asked.

Fu Huai’an didn’t reply. He shifted the cigarette to the corner of his lips, then stood with one hand in his pocket as he gazed at the tall buildings standing amidst the heavy snow, looking far away from the Kaide Corporation.

”So, you’ve made a deal with the army… You’ll go rescue those people, while they’ll protect Lin Nuan?” Although Lu Jinnan posed this as a question, he was almost certain it was the case in his heart.

After a long while, the cigarette at Fu Huai’an’s fingertips finished burning. The gray-white colored cigarette ash fell together with the snowflakes, scattering on the ground.

”Lu Jinnan, I used to be a soldier. There are some things carved into my bones that I can’t simply discard.” Fu Huai’an dropped the cigarette butt, then extinguished it with his leather shoe. ”I have a wife and a son, but there are some things that I need to do…”

That one sentence from Fu Huai’an stuffed up Lu Jinnan’s heart, making it ache.

Lu Jinnan had known Fu Huai’an for many years. He knew that Huai’an had made up his mind to go. Lu Jinnan strode away from the rooftop in anger and slammed the door behind him as he went off.

…

Other than the colonel from the army, Lin Nuan, Mu Taotao, and You Nainai were the only ones left in the dressing room.

Lin Nuan smiled as she looked at the army officer with a fierce disposition sitting on the sofa, speaking calmly. ”The military has its own military channel, as well as its own show host. You can get your own show host in the army to do such a show. There’s no reason for you to pick someone outside of the army.”

”The show hosts in the military don’t have your popularity. Besides, you’re doing an excellent job with these military-themed shows!” The male officer sat with his legs crossed and one hand resting on the armrest of the sofa. ”All these years, there have been many negative pieces of news about the military. This is the result of the media’s descriptions of single cases, which has caused the public to develop a misunderstanding about soldiers…”

Lin Nuan leaned her body sideways with one elbow rested on the armrest of her makeup chair and nodded. Lin Nuan agreed with that point.

”The show that we’re doing, the main objective is to publicize the army. We want to tell the public what a soldier is, what the soul of being a soldier is, and what guts are! About the belief of soldiers! This is why the show host has got to be popular and of a suitable disposition! Other than you, there’s no one more suited for the role!”

The colonel spoke logically and reasonably. However… when Lin Nuan gazed at his eyes, she felt that he was hiding something from her.

”Ding ding ding ding ding—”

Lin Nuan’s phone, which was by the makeup mirror, vibrated. She turned her head…

Mu Taotao glanced at Lin Nuan’s phone, then picked it up and handed it to Lin Nuan. ”The incoming caller is… Mr. Lu!”

It was Lu Jinnan, but when Mu Taotao was about to say his name, she changed it to Mr. Lu, clearly wary of the colonel.

Lin Nuan took the phone and glanced at it, then planted both feet on the ground and got up before saying to the colonel, ”Sorry, I need to answer a call!”

Lin Nuan didn’t exit the dressing room, merely walking to the clothes racks with her phone. She turned her head, smiling and nodding at the colonel before putting the call through and placing the phone by her ear. ”Hello…:

”Lin Nuan, something happened. Four ex-comrades who were on the same undercover mission as Old Fu back then were captured. Old Fu made a deal with the military. The military will send you to the army and protect you, and Tuan Tuan will be sent to Cen Mo. Those people previously protecting you and Tuan Tuan will all stay and protect Yun Liuli. He’s going to go and rescue them single-handedly!”

Lu Jinnan spoke in a low and speedy voice, but Lin Nuan still understood it all…

Her back stiffened, and her brain was filled with the words about Fu Huai’an single-handedly going to rescue his old comrades!

Lin Nuan felt a lump in her throat. She turned her head and glanced at the colonel sitting on the sofa, her face a tad pale.

When that colonel’s eyes met Lin Nuan’s, he slightly raised an eyebrow in a questioning manner at Lin Nuan.

Lin Nuan awkwardly looked away, her heart thumping!

Made a deal with the military?

Then the reason this colonel came to talk about some show was to keep Lin Nuan in the army?
