Mr Fu, I Really Love You

Chapter 371: She Thought She Had a Good Grasp of What Was Important to Him

Fu Tianci was in urgent need of money, and he didn’t bother to be coy about it. He reached for the card and stuffed it into his pocket. ”I’ll give you my contact number…”

He was about to finish his sentence when he remembered that his phone had just been smashed to pieces and the SIM card was still inside.

”Never mind, you can add me on WeChat.” Fu Tianci stretched out his hand for Lin Nuan’s phone.

Lin Nuan took out her phone, and Fu Tianci promptly snatched it away. He added himself into her WeChat, pondered for a moment, and then keyed in his contact number as well before returning the phone to Lin Nuan.

”Okay, you can go now, everything’s fine!” Fu Tianci said as nonchalantly as he could, his hands in his pocket.

Clutching her phone, Lin Nuan took one glance at Fu Tianci and continued walking up the stairs.

The moment Lin Nuan was out of sight, Fu Tianci cursed loudly and dashed to the seventh floor to recover his smashed phone.

Unfortunately, the diligent cleaners had already cleared the area.

”What the…! Why are they so damn diligent?” Fu Tianci cursed as he rushed down the stairs. When he reached the ground level, he spotted the cleaner emptying the garbage. After rummaging through the garbage bags, he finally recovered his SIM card.

…

At an affiliated hospital of Haicheng Medical University, Lu Qili was alone in a single room. Her face was pale as she peered out through the window, her eyes listless.

The room door opened and Lu Qili turned to see Fu Huai’an’s assistant pushing the door open. Her lips quivered, but she didn’t speak. The moment she saw Fu Huai’an’s tall, dark figure coming through, tears started welling in her eyes.

Their eyes met. A cigarette was hanging from Fu Huai’an’s lips, his hands stuffed into his pockets as he strode into the room. Under his arched brows, his eyes were dark and mysterious, and he exuded a cold and aloof vibe.

She clutched the blanket and straightened her back slightly. Her wrist was bandaged. Her delicate face, which resembled that of Lu Xiangsi, was ghastly pale, and she looked pitiful.

Fu Huai’an sauntered to Lu Qili’s bedside. She raised her head to gaze at him. Before she could speak, tears started rolling down her face, and she broke down crying.

Fu Huai’an removed his cigarette. Using the same hand which held the cigarette, he lifted her wrist and took a look at it.

”Huai’an…” Lu Qili whined.

She had put her life in danger just for a chance to see him.

”You wanted to die?” Fu Huai’an asked coldly.

Lu Qili bit her lip, her face contorting in pain. ”You didn’t want to see me, I was worse than dead…”

Fu Huai’an nodded as his thumb brushed across the gauze on Lu Qili’s wrist.

Lu Qili sucked in her breath. ”Huai’an, it hurts…”

Fu Huai’an released her wrist and said indifferently, ”If you really want to die in future, remember to make a deeper cut. This wound isn’t going to kill you, you’re just causing inconvenience to those who have to bring you to the hospital.”

He was brutally honest and had no qualms about exposing Lu Qili’s devious scheme!

Death… was just a means to coerce Fu Huai’an into meeting her. If one life wasn’t enough, she would rope her mother in!

Since her mother was a nobody, she would also put Fu Huai’an’s reputation at stake.

Lu Qili was a smart woman, and she knew what was crucial to Fu Huai’an and what he wanted. She thought that she had a good grasp of what was important to him.

Even though she was well aware of how he felt, she thought that by virtue of being Lu Xiangsi’s sister, Fu Huai’an would still show cursory concern for her. She hadn’t expected him to be so harsh and merciless.

”Huai’an, I… You think I’m lying to you by pretending to commit suicide? I didn’t! Please don’t be angry!”
