Mr Fu, I Really Love You

Chapter 318: I Can Try to Cooperate!

Liu Mingchen was nearly choking. His eyes were red, and he couldn’t continue…

That elderly woman had been outside his lab for nearly half a month—all she wanted was for him to help her save her grandchild!

She didn’t know how long she had to live and went on her knees to beg Liu Mingchen to give her granddaughter a chance and sell her cheaper medication.

Later on, Liu Mingchen personally visited a lot of patients who had taken Abinoque. They all said that the drug had minimal side effects, but it was too expensive. Only a rich person could keep using it—otherwise, most normal income people couldn’t afford it. Even patients with decent income would have their savings suffer!

Liu Mingchen stayed home in that period and joined several patient groups and investigated the situation…

Among the patients who started out with Abinoque, almost nobody was notified they couldn’t use cheaper medication afterward.

Many people were waiting on their deathbeds because they couldn’t afford Abinoque!

That went against his original intention completely!

Liu Mingchen had developed Abinoque with the intention of lowering the price of cancer medication on the market…

The cost of Abinoque was actually low! Liu Mingchen’s initial suggestion was to price the medicine at around one thousand five hundred—yet somehow it rose all the way to four thousand!

The medicine manufacturing company had already bought the patent. Liu Mingchen contacted their executives and enquired about the pricing.

The medicine manufacturing company gave a response and said the patent had nothing to do with him anymore—they had the final say in the pricing!

”You should know, many people sold their homes and went on the streets just to survive. They’re staying in a place called ’The Sick Graveyard’. I went there yesterday!” Liu Mingchen clenched his teeth as he looked forward, trying to contain his emotions. ”The bunk beds… the situation there was devastating because they couldn’t afford medication!”

Liu Mingchen nearly choked as he mentioned ”devastating”. He looked down and used the back of his hand to wipe away the moisture on his eyelashes.

Lin Nuan thought of Bai Xiaonian’s father, who was also using Abinoque!

Luckily Bai Xiaonian could still pay for his medication—otherwise, how awful would that be?

Lin Nuan was still looking through the documents. There were pictures and records inside with patient confessions…

It was information Liu Mingchen gathered with his students recently!

She closed the documents and organized them. Looking at Liu MIngchen, she asked, ”Brother Mingchen, what can I do to help out?”

Lin Nuan was willing to do anything to help out for such a matter!

Liu Mingchen calmed himself down and let out a long sigh. ”I want to go on your show, A Sunday Date!”

”A Sunday Date” had the highest viewership in the country at that moment compared to other shows. There was even viewership coming from overseas.

She understood Mingchen, but she still didn’t know what he was planning to do.

”Can I ask Brother Mingchen what do you want to do?” Lin Nuan asked. She didn’t want him to misunderstand then added, ”I can try to cooperate!”

Liu Mingchen nodded. ”I want to tell more people on the show… that patients can’t switch from Abinoque to a cheaper medication in their treatment. The public needs to know that the cost of Abinoque is not even five hundred dollars! Let’s spread the truth to more people!”
