Mr Fu, I Really Love You

Chapter 213: I Think This Is a Great Idea

Lin Nuan hadn’t eaten anything all day and was famished.

She glanced at her phone. There were multiple missed calls from Bai Xiaonian, and Lin Nuan decided to return the call.

”Lin Nuan, where have you been? Did the creep Wang Quan do anything inappropriate?”

The moment the call was connected, she could hear Bai Xiaonian’s voice trembling at the other end of the line as if she was about to burst into tears at any moment.

Bai Xiaonian believed that her birth date characters must have clashed with anyone with the surname ’Lu’. She had previously met a jerk by the name ’Lu Jinbei’, and she had met another scoundrel ’Lu Jinnan’. The two men were definitely brothers related by blood—they were both wretched and made her blood boil!

At the banquet, Bai Xiaonian had been observing Lin Nuan and Wang Quan from afar. When she saw Lin Nuan walking out, she had wanted to tail behind her but the scoundrel, Lu Jinnan, caught up with her and started interrogating her about her relationship with Lu Jinbei!

When Bai Xiaonian revealed that she was Lu Jinbei’s ex-girlfriend, Lu Jinnan even went so far as to demand that she stop harassing Lu Jinbei!

Bai Xiaonian was so furious that she got into a dispute with Lu Jinnan and told him to mind his brother. Lu Jinbei, the moron, was still going on and on about marrying her!

In the end, Bai Xiaonian wasn’t sure if he got her point, but by then, she had lost sight of Lin Nuan. She was in such a rage that she almost wanted to murder the two brothers there and then.

”I am fine,” Lin Nuan assured Bai Xiaonian, ”I… was with Fu Huai’an just now.”

When she heard that, Bai Xiaonian heaved a sigh of relief and almost slumped onto the floor.

She asked in a sobbing tone, ”Then why didn’t you answer your phone?”

Bai Xiaonian was afraid that she might have put Lin Nuan in harm’s way.

”Wang Quan tried to get fresh with me, and my phone must have dropped out when the scuffle ensued. The Fu family servant just returned it to me…”

Lin Nuan was in the middle of explaining when she felt the vibration of her phone—there was a message.

”That bastard Wang Quan…”

”Don’t worry, it’s over!” Lin Nuan stopped her. ”Fu Huai’an beat Wang Quan unconscious.”

Bai Xiaonian still had pent-up anger. ”Why didn’t Fu Huai’an just castrate him instead! Let him be a eunuch for the rest of his life!”

Lin Nuan was even more upset.

She had intended to obtain some information from Wang Quan’s mother. Not only did she not achieve her aim, but Wang Quan was hospitalized instead.

Lin Nuan’s previous efforts were all in vain, and Wang Quan’s mother probably hated her. It might even implicate Fu Huai’an.

Lin Nuan lost her appetite the moment she thought of all that.

Bai Xiaonian told Lin Nuan over the phone that she would send her home. Lin Nuan thought of what Fu Huai’an said just before he left. She hesitated for a moment and told Bai Xiaonian that she would call Fu Huai’an to inform him before leaving and ended the call with Bai Xiaonian.

Lin Nuan held her phone tightly and hesitated. She was worried that her call might disrupt Fu Huai’an.

She opened her message inbox and saw that the message was from Fu Huai’an. Feeling nervous, she read the message; there were only five words—’Come to the car park.’

Lin Nuan was still wondering how best to inform him that she was going home with Bai Xiaonian and that there was no need to trouble him when Bai Xiaonian called again.

”Nuan, I have a matter to settle with that jerk Lu Jinbei. Why don’t you get Fu Huai’an to send you home? Take the opportunity to work on your relationship with him. Fu Huai’an is an influential figure in Haicheng. I believe he will be a better help than Wang Quan for your father’s case! Anyway, he seems to like you. Why don’t you break down in front of him, he will be sure to help you. I think this is a great idea, don’t you agree?”

Lin Nuan kept silent.
