Mr Fu, I Really Love You

Chapter 196: I’m Afraid That He Will Think So of Me Too

”You’re crazy!”

Lin Nuan grew angry and slammed the door open on her way out as she sent Miss Xia a text to let her know that she was leaving in advance.

…

When Lin Nuan reached Lu Hanzi’s office, Lu Hanzi was still attending to other patients, so she went to the washroom. She was close to scrubbing off the layer of skin around her wrist, and she would have still been washing her wrist if not for Lu Hanzi’s assistant who came in to call her.

Once Lin Nuan entered the office, Lu Hanzi sharply observed that the back of her hand and her wrist were red. She simply let Lin Nuan sit down first and chat with her about recent events, instead of touching on that topic…

The environment of Lu Hanzi’s office was comfortable, and the soothing music let people lower their guard.

Lu Hanzi guided Lin Nuan into talking about a lot of matters. Lin Nuan was unwilling to say Fu Huai’an’s name, so Lu Hanzi let Lin Nuan replace him with the title ”Man A” in her speech.

When she heard Lin Nuan say that she was unwilling to be seen as lewd by Man A, Lu Hanzi’s pen that had been continuously taking down notes in her notebook paused.

She fixed her deep gaze on Lin Nuan and asked, ”Nuan Nuan… Are there any hard-to-forget memories that you are hiding me?”

Lin Nuan pursed her lips and kept her silence.

”Nuan Nuan, I’m your psychiatrist, what we have to do now is to relieve the immense stress in your heart, if you hide it and conceal it from me… I won’t be able to help you.”

Lin Nuan continued to keep silent for a long time, so Lu Hanzi eventually placed the notebook and pen aside before standing up to turn up the volume of the music. She poured two glasses of red wine and passed one to Lin Nuan, saying, ”Let’s take a short break and continue later…”

Lin Nuan silently took the glass, and as she watched the dark ruby red liquid in the glass, she said, ”My cousin from the Lin family, Lin Xia, the day she committed suicide in the bathtub, I was the first to discover it… I remember that three days before, Lin Xia had been wearing a new outfit and she secretly whispered to me that she was going to give herself over to the man she loved the most. Three days later, she was lying in the bathtub full of blood, because…”

Lu Hanzi noticed that Lin Nuan was choking up a little, so she waited patiently instead of pressuring her.

Lin Nuan downed the glass of red wine in one go, and her eyes turned red. Her knuckles turned white as she clenched around the glass and her voice held hints of tears as she continued saying, ”That assh*le told Lin Xia that he loved how she was during s*x. However, behind her back, he told his group of friends how Lin Xia was so needy in bed and completely not like a virgin, and that if it weren’t for the blood, he really would have thought that she was a shameless prostitute. Sister Hanzi… He said he liked the me yesterday, but I’m scared… I’m afraid that he thinks of me that way too.”

Once she said it out loud, Lin Nuan felt like icicles were flowing in her blood, prickling at her skin.

”He means so much to you, apart from when he once saved you in Iraq, is it also because you love him?”

Lu Hanzi did not use ”like”, but calmly said ”love”, making it hard for Lin Nuan to hide the tears in her eyes.

She said, ”Because you haven’t known each other for long, you’re not sure if he’s just having momentary interest in you. You’re scared that you’ll be handing your whole heart over to him too quickly and he’ll feel that you’re easy, and you’re afraid that you will then fail and never be able to climb back up.”

Lu Hanzi placed her glass of wine on her office desk, saying, ”Nuan Nuan, I’m much older than you, and I’ve been through divorce three times. Only as an older sister, not as your psychiatrist, I can responsibly tell you that based on my personal experience, the foundation for a blissful marriage isn’t the sharing of one house or having equal standing on occupations or wages, but that you love having s*x with the other party and vice versa!”
