Mr Fu, I Really Love You

Chapter 194: Old Fu Will Feed You the Tiles You Need!

”Handle this issue yourself. I’m hanging up!” Fu Huai’an looked away and hung up, his brows drawn together tightly. He placed his phone back in his pocket as he put out the cigarette, picking up his box of cigarettes and lighter.

Seeing Fu Huai’an come out from the smoking area, Lin Nuan’s heartbeat grew faster uncontrollably, and her breath almost stopped.

They had just ended their conversation unhappily that morning, and with them meeting again, Lin Nuan unavoidably felt awkward about the situation.

Fu Huai’an came out and stood by the door. He didn’t look at Lin Nuan, simply telling Tang Zheng with an indifferent look, ”Let’s go…”

Lin Nuan’s fists closed in slightly tighter around the tissues. It was a bundle of slightly wet softness, but she felt as though thin needles were pricking at her palm.

Tang Zheng raised a brow and seeing Fu Huai’an who walked away quickly, caught on that there was something wrong between Fu Huai’an and Lin Nuan.

Or should he say, ever since they called Fu Huai’an over that morning, everyone had sensed that Fu Huai’an wasn’t in a good mood? Fu Huai’an had always been someone who controlled his emotions very well, and his true feelings would never leak out easily.

The only one who could affect Fu Huai’an’s emotions was probably Lin Nuan.

Seeing Lin Nuan start to walk away too, Tang Zheng hurriedly invited Lin Nuan, saying, ”Lin Nuan, you should join us, it’s rare for Old Fu to be on break and our friends are gathered together. It’s all our people inside the room. We’re just playing and chatting!”

Lin Nuan clenched her fists around the wet tissues and gave Tang Zheng a forced smile. She rejected him almost without any hesitation, saying, ”No, it’s fine, my meal on the other side still hasn’t ended, you guys have fun…”

”Don’t!” Tang Zheng said and blocked Lin Nuan’s path. ”I’m losing so much that I’ve almost lost my pants to them, replace me for a few rounds, you can keep the winnings, and I’ll handle the debt if you lose! No matter what, I’m your sponsor, so just take it as helping me…”

Lin Nuan hadn’t forgotten how Tang Zheng had blocked her from leaving Fu Huai’an’s house that night. She lowered her head and reached out to push him, but being a woman, Lin Nuan’s strength and height were no match for Tang Zheng.

She stopped and looked towards Tang Zheng, but before she could say anything, Tang Zheng said, ”Your meal isn’t a problem, I can settle it with one phone call. But if you don’t help replace me at the game, and I lose too much, I might get pressured and accidentally tell your boss that you faked being allergic to alcohol that time.”

It was a threat…

Lin Nuan took in a deep breath and controlled her temper, before she said, ”President Tang…”

”Just three rounds!” Tang Zheng spoke before Lin Nuan could continue with a respectful and somewhat sincere voice. ”No matter if you win or lose for the three rounds, I’ll never mention the matter again afterward. Will you accept it if I sign a guarantee on it?”

Tang Zheng’s words made Lin Nuan hesitate, but at the thought of Fu Huai’an, she still felt that if she joined Tang Zheng and went over, she would seem too eager.

”President Tang, I really can’t help you even if I want to, I don’t know how to play mahjong either…” Lin Nuan said, trying to sound as calm as possible.

”It’s fine even if you don’t know how to play, Old Fu will feed you all the tiles you need!”

Tang Zheng’s words directly pointed out the intimacy in Lin Nuan and Fu Huai’an’s relationship. Lin Nuan grew annoyed and seeing that Tang Zheng wasn’t going to let her leave, she pulled out the Lin family, saying, ”It’s fine even if President Tang accidentally told my boss the truth. I think… If I’m willing to join the meals, I should be able to stop their invitations by mentioning the Lin family.”

Taking advantage of the moment where Tang Zheng was surprised and distracted, Lin Nuan walked around Tang Zheng towards the room she came from.

…

Tang Zheng, who was given the cold shoulder, returned to the private room only to see Fu Huai’an casually throw his phone onto the side table. He held a cigarette in his mouth, and his brows furrowed as he sat down in front of the mahjong table.
