Mr Fu, I Really Love You

Chapter 184: Are You Planning to Find Someone From Your Line of Work?

Lin Nuan’s fists clenched upon hearing the name.

She always resisted asking about the matter because Fu Huai’an said he would explain if she was his girlfriend.

Just thinking about how Fu Huai’an had both hands in his pockets and a cigarette between his lips, letting Su Manman’s slender arm slide under his jacket and hug his waist, Lin Nuan felt that Fu Huai’an was a playboy.

”Su Manman’s real name is Fu Manman. You should be able to find it online.”

Lin Nuan paused. Fu Manman…

Since her surname was Fu, did that mean she was Fu Huai’an’s younger sister?

”That day, the paparazzi should also have gotten photos of a few people pestering Su Manman. I couldn’t possibly watch her get drugged then taken away by others.”

Su Manman was Fu Huai’an’s maternal grand-father Fu Qingquan’s younger brother’s grand-daughter. They didn’t often meet in private, only on family reunions, and they had never exchanged more than three lines of conversation.

That day, Fu Huai’an had passed the socializing to Lu Jinnan and was just smoking by the road. He vaguely heard someone saying to drug the celebrity Su Manman so they could play with her.

Not long after, Fu Huai’an saw a few men carrying a half-unconscious Su Manman out of the bar, disregarding her struggling.

Fu Huai’an simply stood there and called out Fu Manman. Su Manman looked up as though she saw her savior and smiled at Fu Huai’an while desperately covering up the fear in her heart. She wrenched her body out of the grips of the few men and rushed into Fu Huai’an’s arms, tightly hugging his waist as though she was afraid that Fu Huai’an would push her away and begged for Fu Huai’an to save her.

The few men initially wanted to go up and snatch her back, but once they saw Fu Huai’an—who looked like someone not to be trifled with—and Lu Jinnan exit the bar happily chatting with people of the other party, they realized they lost by number.

The few men who had planned to take advantage of Su Manman discussed within themselves softly before leaving unwillingly.

That day, Fu Huai’an had sent her to the hospital and then brought her back to her house after she got an IV drip. However, Fu Huai’an didn’t linger at Su Manman’s apartment building. After sending her up, he simply returned to his hotel.

He only instructed his assistant to send Su Manman to the hospital once more the next morning, and that was all.

”You said to be equal in terms of jobs and salaries, then are you planning to find someone from your line of work? If you don’t plan on doing that, then I’m afraid it’ll be hard to realize the part on equal power.”

Fu Huai’an calmly targetted the words Lin Nuan said the night before and went through them line by line, sounding calm and serious.

”If you like for two people to be sharing one apartment, that’s no problem too! As for what you said, about being excited for a few days after eating one grand meal, I think that, as long as it’s eating with the right person, it’ll be satisfying no matter what the food is.”

”Lin Nuan, as a man who is 30 plus years old, with regards to career, I’m ambitious, and I can’t guarantee that I will cook with you and eat what you make every day—but as long as you have the interest in cooking for me, I will definitely rush back. Not for anything else, just that I’m not willing to let your efforts and heart go to waste! Even if I’m on an overseas business trip, and I’m not beside you, I can still call you on the phone to greet you in the mornings and nights.”

Fu Huai’an’s words left Lin Nuan speechless.

The one line of Su Manman’s surname being Fu caused the suffocating and depressing knot that Lin Nuan’s had in her chest for the past few days to vanish silently.

Lin Nuan understood the meaning of the word ”ambitious”, but she couldn’t relate to it.

For Lin Nuan, there was probably nothing in the world that she was so desperate to obtain that she felt ambitious.
