Mr Fu, I Really Love You

Chapter 162: Who Are You Kidding?

In the bathroom, Lin Nuan closed her eyes and let the warm water of the shower pour over her body.

Lin Nuan wasn’t dumb. She was clear what it meant when a man asked a woman out for dinner.

It was just an excuse to conveniently do things after dinner; things people were embarrassed to do during the daytime.

At first, Lin Nuan fumbled and didn’t agree to it. Later on, she got into his car…

Lin Nuan had a sudden realization about getting closer to Fu Huai’an, which was why she wasn’t especially resistant.

In her late twenties approaching her thirties, it was normal to have desire.

If Lin Nuan could fool herself into believing she didn’t drop her guard, she probably wouldn’t feel as uneasy deep down.

Fu Huai’an clearly didn’t explain his scandal with Su Manman up to that moment—her agency workroom didn’t provide any statement either. Lin Nuan still had no idea what their relationship was, and had still jumped into bed with him in a blur.

She closed her eyes, and all she could see was the scene of him with a cigarette in his mouth and his hands in his pockets, embraced by Su Manman.

Who was she kidding if she said she didn’t care?

Was she just foolish, or did she lack self-control?

She turned off the shower and tied the towel around her body. She stood before the foggy mirror.

Fu Huai’an’s clean shirt rested on the sink.

Lin Nuan got dressed and wiped her hair with the towel. Hearing her phone ring in the living room, she jogged over to check.

Fu Huai’an hadn’t come outside yet as he was still in the shower inside the bedroom.

As she dug out the phone from her purse, it had already been hung up on the other end.

Lin Nuan took a look at the phone. It was Miss Xia calling her back.

Miss Xia briefly explained that Lin Nuan had to stay for another shift after recording the show with Wen Moshen tomorrow. Su Manman’s agent suddenly contacted her and expressed great interest in Lin Nuan’s show, but Su Manman could only make it for the show the next day during the evening due to her busy trip.

Hearing Su Manman’s name, Lin Nuan’s hands tensed up on the phone. She suddenly felt sheepish for some reason.

Perhaps in her heart, she had already assumed Su Manman and Fu Huai’an had some kind of connection to each other. Even if she was the intruder, Fu Huai’an did almost get married to her previously.

Hearing no response from Lin Nuan, Miss Xia called out.

”I’m here.”

”Rumours about Su Manman’s mysterious boyfriend are catching fire right now. Nobody came out to address it, neither her nor her workroom. This mysterious boyfriend already rose to the top on Weibo’s hot search list, and the public’s curiosity has peaked regarding the photo. Su Manman doesn’t really go on shows like this, and one of the questions for her, when she comes, will be regarding that man. Wen Moshen who returned four years after the disappearance of the plane, the hottest scandal regarding the popular female star Su Manman—Lin Nuan… as long as you seize this opportunity, you and your show will definitely get popular!”

Miss Xia could almost see it as clear as day, how bright Lin Nuan’s future was.

”I got it.” Lin Nuan responded.

Not hearing any sign of joy from Lin Nuan’s side, Miss Xia didn’t speak anymore. She simply urged her to prepare well and look carefully through the questions she had to ask Su Manman the next day, which were in her inbox.

After hanging up, Lin Nuan sat on the sofa and hesitated for a moment. She then opened her inbox and browsed through the content on Su Manman’s interview the next day.

When Lin Nuan saw the seventh question which asked Su Manman whether the man on the photo was her boyfriend, her hand suddenly froze as it was swiping her phone.

Miss Xia said that Su Manman’s workroom provided the question.
