Mr Fu, I Really Love You

Chapter 150: What Does This Old Man Want?

”My best friend’s matchmaking partner is such an amazing person?” Bai Xiaonian laughed and took the water bottle from Lin Nuan’s hands, speaking with a lollipop still in her hands, ”Let me drink some water to calm my shock.”

…

Fu Huai’an only opened the message Tang Zheng sent after he had returned to his office after the meeting.

Fu Huai’an wore a shirt and suit pants, showing off his long and tall figure. He leaned on the edge of the table as his lips bit onto a cigarette. He removed his tie and left it on the table, slightly raising his sharp jaw as he unbuttoned the top three buttons of his neat top, unable to hide the frustration in his face.

Lu Jinnan sat on the couch, lighting up a cigarette with anger on his face before throwing the gold lighter and the cigarette box onto the coffee table.

”What does this old man want? First, he pushed for the start of the Platinum Living Project, saying that we will definitely get our pre-sale certificate, forcing Tang Zheng and me to beg for our pre-sale certificate. Now that we have it, he changes his attitude and refuses to start the project? Does he not know the rule that we have to start the project within ten days of receiving the pre-sale certificate?”

Fu Huai’an removed his gaze from Lu Jinnan, looking down…

What entered his line of sight was a photo of a clean-looking young man giving Lin Nuan a bouquet of roses. Fu Huai’an narrowed his eyes, his Adam’s apple bobbing as he removed the cigarette from his mouth to enlarge the photo for a clearer look.

”When I came over this morning, I heard that Dan Yiming from the design department was replaced.” Lu Jinnan suddenly mentioned the matter to Fu Huai’an. ”The old man is planning to gradually turn you into a figurehead. I wonder how Tang Zheng’s discussion with the people on that side went, and if they can sell the shares to us. There’s only less than half a year left; every second counts now. Otherwise, the big stockholders and the old man will work together and quickly pull you down.”

Fu Huai’an pulled the ashtray on his desk to his side and tapped his cigarette on it, exiting the gallery as he said, ”This isn’t an urgent matter.”

As he spoke, Tang Zheng rushed into the office saying, ”Old Fu, it’s bad! That gigolo’s background isn’t simple. Your Lin Nuan is too good at attracting men— the men she draws in are all tough characters!”

Tang Zheng didn’t see Lu Jinnan’s angry face as he quickly sat onto the couch and continued, ”On the way here, I was checking his background and guess who the man giving Lin Nuan roses is? He’s the winner of this round’s Nobel Prize in Medicine, Liu Mingchen! And he’s your Lin Nuan’s childhood friend…”

”What gigolo?” Lu Jinnan was confused by Tang Zheng’s random babbling.

”Old Fu didn’t tell you? I sent a photo to Old Fu. Someone is courting Lin Nuan…”

As he spoke, Tang Zheng took out his phone and opened his gallery, passing his phone to Lu Jinnan.

Lu Jinnan took the phone and glanced at it, zooming in to focus on Liu Mingchen’s face.

He bit onto the cigarette and sneered, his judging eyes glancing at the photo as he appraised Liu Mingchen, saying, ”This kind of clueless and dumb nerd obsessed with science still knows to give flowers to the girl he’s wooing? He looks clean and young, doesn’t seem very mature.”

Lu Jinnan passed the phone back to Tang Zheng and removed the cigarette between his lips, saying, ”I heard that those who spend their days doing science have no time to train their guns. They’re all quick shots and their techniques and stamina can’t keep up. He probably sucks in bed!”

”How did the afternoon discussion go?” Fu Huai’an asked.

When it came to proper matters, Tang Zheng quickly put away his phone.
