Mr Fu, I Really Love You

Chapter 142: Who Do You Think Is More Charismatic?

Lin Nuan listened to Song Yao speak as she rinsed her mouth and put back her toothbrush and cup.

Bending down, she splashed her face with a handful of water and grabbed the facial wash, rubbing it on her palm until bubbles appeared.

Seeing Lin Nuan’s long hair sweep down, Song Yao walked into the bathroom and placed the glass that still had hot steam rising from it onto the counter to help Lin Nuan pull her long hair back.

”Although I understand you, I don’t understand Fu Huai’an and the kind of thoughts he has of you. My words may be right and may be wrong, but all I want is for you to be more cautious regarding these matters.”

”En!” Lin Nuan replied, understanding the good intentions behind Song Yao’s words.

Song Yao held up Lin Nuan’s hair with one hand while her other hand opened the drawer to look for a hair tie.

She lowered her gaze and said, ”Xiaonian also said that you wanted to marry an ordinary man, but I really disapprove of that. From my experience, even if you’re thinking like this right now, but once there are two men standing in front of you, in comparison, humans will still instinctually choose the one who’s good-looking, has a better vibe and a stronger aura. This has nothing to do with vanity, it’s just our instincts to prefer the strong ones! In the industry we’re in, if you ignore their ages, we’ve seen plenty of men. And once you’re used to looking at delicacies, I believe you’ll never be able to make do with common fare!”

”Just take me and Su Heng for example. We still had love between us in the past, but once I met that man, even though I felt it was despicable, I still betrayed him. On one hand, I was pressured by reality, but on the other it was because that once I compared him and Su Heng, that mature and charismatic man still attracted me more! Even if Su Heng still wanted to reconcile with me now, I know that after having experience with that man, I will never be able to go back to Su Heng, because I can’t make do with someone I think isn’t as good.”

Song Yao ripped her injury apart to give Lin Nuan an example…

She helped Lin Nuan tie her hair up and picked up her cup, standing by her side.

”The Wen Moshen you used to like and the Fu Huai’an currently by your side, both of them are good men. How can your heart still agree to a normal man? Not to say you can’t… but even if there is that bit of love, they will be destroyed by the reality of life. How are you supposed to continue a life with no love?”

Lin Nuan rubbed the foamy facial wash on her face, closing her eyes as she listened to Song Yao.

”I don’t know if I should discourage or encourage you—all I can tell you is my experience as someone who has been through such troubles. I hope you’ll consider it.”

Before Lin Nuan could reply, Song Yao took a sip of the warm water and continued, ”Nuan, even if you’ve seen through the filth of this world, no matter the timing, never ever make do with a marriage with no love. This is being irresponsible towards yourself and to others.”

Lin Nuan kept her eyes closed as she washed her face clean and wiped it with her towel, replying, ”I understand what you’re saying. I’m 26, 27 years old. Even if I have no actual experience, I still have textbook knowledge! I do like Fu Huai’an. This isn’t hard or embarrassing to admit. He’s a charismatic man so I believe that it’s not only me—as long as he wants to, he can make any woman fall for him. But my mind is clear. There’s a big gap between Fu Huai’an and me, and I don’t just mean age, but in all areas. Even if I do like him, I can’t do as Xiaonian said and muster up the courage to just go with it. But I also won’t push myself into a marriage without a relationship as foundation. Don’t worry.”

Song Yao looked solemnly at the Lin Nuan in the mirror and waited until she was almost finishing up before she asked probingly, ”I’m curious; between Fu Huai’an and Wen Moshen, who do you think is more charismatic and attractive?”
