Mr Fu, I Really Love You

Chapter 139: You’re Still Not Admitting You’re Developing Feelings for Fu Huai’an?

Lin Nuan clutched the news documents on her lap. She didn’t deny it, but she also didn’t admit it.

They said when you were lost inside, the feelings of your body would tell you what you needed to know.

She didn’t only feel a lack of repulsion towards him—the stirring in her heart when their lips touched as they kissed, the feeling when she saw him and her heart raced. Even when she was with Wen Moshen, she never felt anything so intense.

The thought of Fu Huai’an made her ears flush.

She didn’t know whether a reaction like that was simply a natural physical reaction of a mature woman’s body towards a grown man’s raw pheromones.

”Zhang Ailin once said that the way to reach a man’s heart is through his stomach while the way to reach a woman’s heart is through her vagina. This isn’t false. Fu Huai’an must have managed to pass through your vagina and into your heart.”

Seeing Lin Nuan not responding, Bai Xiaonian took her hands and said after thinking it over, ”I’ve seen Fu Huai’an before. The two of you look very compatible when you’re together, even more so than when you were with Wen Moshen. But did he explain to you that side news with Su Manman?”

Lin Nuan didn’t answer Bai Xiaonian. Her eyebrows were trembling and her voice grew soft, ”Are you trying to convince me to confess to Wen Moshen?”

Bai Xiaonian pulled out the documents under Lin Nuan’s hand and put them in front of the makeup mirror. ”That was when I thought you still had Wen Moshen in your heart. But now… Clearly, you’ve developed feelings for someone else. I’d be out of my mind to encourage you to confess to someone who you’ve already moved on from.”

”A man like Fu Huai’an makes me feel insecure.” Lin Nuan furrowed her eyebrows with irritation as she lowered her usually bright voice, ”Did we see any less of men like him who are rich and good looking? Which one of them wasn’t a player underneath all that proper packaging outside? I even thought the reason Fu Huai’an wanted to make me his wife was because he felt there wasn’t anything between us, so he felt I could close one eye when he meddled with other women in his business! There are so many wives who look so much in love in public, yet they’re not satisfied with the string of lovers they have in private and are constantly on the lookout for new hookups.”

”Lin Nuan, why are you being so timid?” Bai Xiaonian laughed gently and looked seriously at Lin Nuan’s irritated face. ”You take relationships too seriously! What are you afraid of? For a man as exceptional as him, there’s more than enough women who want him in Ocean City. If you’re in a relationship with him, just dump him the second you realize he’s a player. But if you don’t even have the courage to try being in a relationship with him, aren’t you afraid you’ll miss a man like your father in the Lin Family who’s rich, handsome and actually decent? Or do you want to stay loyal to a crush that can’t even count as your first love for your entire life? Fu Huai’an doesn’t have a wife with a child, and he doesn’t only want you to keep him company in bed. As long as the matter regarding Su Manman is explained properly, you have nothing to lose from this.”

Lin Nuan didn’t respond. She had no way of telling Bai Xiaonian that scene she’d once seen in her Lin father’s office.

She turned her head and lowered her voice. ”I can’t take risks or just abandon my beliefs as easily as that. I know well enough what it feels like since I’ve had Wen Moshen in my heart all these years! I know our current society is as open as open gets. I’m not traditional and I’m not afraid of sleeping with Fu Huai’an… I’m just afraid it won’t go anywhere if I let him in.”

”You still won’t admit you’re developing feelings for him?” Bai Xiaonian asked with confidence.
