Gu Tianchao was stunned.

”Bastard!” Gu Xietian was the first to react, and he was outraged.

He slapped Gu Tianchao hard in the face which made him take a few steps back. He quickly took off the robe he was wearing and covered Leng Xiangyu so that she would not be exposing her body in public. He also checked her veins and confirmed that she just passed out and had no other serious problems.

Gu Xietian was a martial arts master who was also skilled at medical treatments. He used his fingers to massage the relevant areas as a form of acupuncture to Leng Xiangyu, and in just a while, she managed to regain consciousness. Upon waking up, she subconsciously cursed, ”I was almost killed by this bitch...” Before she could complete her sentence, she saw the angry face of Gu Xietian, so she did not dare to continue speaking.

Gu Xietian was irritated. He stood up and shouted, ”What are you complaining about? This was all because of your precious son. You are the wife of a general. Please behave appropriately in public instead of cursing and crying like a crazy woman.”

Upon being attacked by his sharp tongue, Leng Xiangyu immediately went quiet and did not cry anymore.

Gu Tianchao just stood at the side and did not know what to say.

Gu Xietian glared at him and scolded, ”Why did you grab the rope like that just now? You have caused your sister to fall from such a high point!”

Gu Tianchao could not complain about anything, his handsome face turned red, ”I… I did not mean it…”

Gu Xietian ignored him and now attended to Gu Xijiu who already stood up from the fall.

As she had Leng Xiangyu as her cushion pad, she did not get hurt. She just looked messy.

She was leaning on a tree in the courtyard quietly watching the scene unfold. No one could tell what was in her mind.

”Xijiu, are you okay?” Gu Xietian walked over and wanted to hold her little hand to check her vein.

Gu Xijiu slightly avoided his hand and spoke softly, ”I feel lucky.”

Gu Xietian was stunned, ”My Xijiu has good fortune and will be fine…” Then, he stared at Gu Tianchao and said, ”Come and apologize to your sister!”

Gu Tianchao hesitated but had to come over to apologize. He called her good sister and spoke a few sentences which explained that he did not intend to do that and asked for her forgiveness.

Gu Xijiu stood quietly and silently waited for him to finish. After he finished, she smiled lightly and said, ”At least now I know that the Second Young Master did not do that intentionally. Fortunately, I had Aunty Leng as my cushion pad. Otherwise, I am afraid that I would no longer be standing here talking with Second Young Master. I would not be able to listen to your apology.”

Gu Tianchao remained silent. He wondered why this girl had such a sharp tongue now. However, he could not fight back. His face was getting red again.

Gu Xijiu turned around and stared at Leng Xiangyu who was still sitting on the floor. She said, ”Aunty Leng, are you okay?”

Leng Xiangyu had never encountered such an embarrassing moment in many years. However, it was a mistake caused by her son so she could not blame anyone. She could only bear with it.

Apparently, the knock was quite heavy that both her head and chest were in pain. She looked at her son and worried that he would feel guilty, so she did not dare to tell anyone that she was not okay.

She could barely stand up even with the help of her maids and when Gu Xijiu asked about her condition she forced a smile and pretended to be generous saying, ”I am okay as long as you are okay.”
