House Dad's Literary Life

“I don’t want anything! It’s just that you have already cut off this young man’s future, and now you’re forcing him to drink these six cups of vodka. Given the alcohol content of vodka, I estimate that he’d be half-dead, if not entirely dead. Don’t you think this is too much?” Yang Yi asked with a smile.

“So, what do you suggest we do?” Chief Huang gritted his teeth.

“I kindly ask Chief Huang to show some mercy for my sake. As I said, leave a way out for others, so you can meet again in the future!” Yang Yi cupped his hand across his chest and said in a very martial manner.

“Alright! For your sake, I’ll let this matter go,” Chief Huang stood up and called his companion, “Let’s go!”

These people seemed to be quite scared, but they acted tough. They left a sentence and slipped away quickly. Yang Yi did notice a detail. When Chief Huang left, his legs were still shaking, but for the sake of face, he forced himself to hold his composure.

When they left, Yang Yi turned to look at Boss Lei.

That Chief Huang probably won’t come to his place for consumption anymore. Boss Lei forced a smile and said to Yang Yi, “Thank you for helping us out.”

Whether he truly needed to be thankful, Yang Yi wasn’t sure. He just knew that with Boss Lei’s performance today, he should not embarrass Lin Mu’an anymore.

He left the fruit knife on the table, clapped his hands, and said to Boss Lei with a smile, “Alright, since the matter is resolved, I should also leave. Boss Lei, this knife is yours. I’ll leave it to you to handle the aftermath. I’m sorry for damaging the decoration of your bar.”

“No, no, it’s okay. Please walk slowly…” Boss Lei quickly nodded and bowed as he saw off Yang Yi.

Yang Yi left leisurely, but throughout the process, he never glanced at Lin Mu’an. It seemed as though he didn’t even know Lin Mu’an and had indeed intervened solely because he couldn’t stand injustice.
