Zhao Shunchang was stunned. Apparently, he still could not find his senses and failed to recover in a timely manner upon hearing Zhao Youlin’s response. “W-W-What?”

Zhao Youlin smiled gently. She repeated herself patiently, “My younger cousin has always been a member of the staff in this company. It is understandable that his absence for a period of time was due to his hospitalization. Since he has regained his health and he intends to return to the company, I naturally welcome him back.”

Upon hearing Zho Youlin’s words, Zhao Shunchang was overjoyed. He truly found his eldest niece a very forgiving person. Even though his son had offended her, she had not been calculative with them and had instead returned them with kindness.

“Youlin, I would like to offer my apologies on behalf of Yifei. He has been spoiled by his mother and me since he was young. I am very sorry that he had treated you so rudely previously. I’ll teach him a lesson when I go back later. I’ll ask him to listen to you in the future. Regarding the company’s matter, I’m counting on you to take care of the company. When Yifei comes back, please watch over him as well.”

“That’s very polite of you, Uncle. In fact, it’s only a given that I should be doing all these. Uncle, don’t worry. Once my younger cousin returns to the company, I’ll certainly take care of him.”

Zhao Shunchang did not pay attention when Zhao Youlin had emphasized her last few words. After he received Zhao Youlin’s confirmation, he did not stay on for long. Soon, he found himself an excuse and departed from her office.

While Zhao Shunchang was going back in a joyful mood to report this to Sun Fengzhi, unbeknownst to him, the moment he turned around, the fake smile on Zhao Youlin’s face immediately faded and was replaced by a thought-provoking expression.

Regardless of Zhao Yifei’s return, after all, he would not have much impact on Zhao Youlin. She had long known about Zhao Yifei’s ability.

Even if the pie fell down from the sky, or he was given the position of chief director, he still could not achieve anything out of it, much less when his position was just an idle job.

If Zhao Yifei did not come back, Zhao Youlin naturally had no qualms about it. But, if he did, he would still be beneficial to her.

At least, she could use him to get a certain one, who failed to accept reality, into trouble.

Thinking of this, the corners of Zhao Youlin’s lips unwittingly curled upward. She could not wait to see Zhao Youming’s reaction the moment he saw the appearance of Zhao Yifei in the company.

However, little did Zhao Youlin know that she did not have to wait long for this to happen at all. Right after Zhao Shunchang left her office, he bumped into Zhao Youming who was holding a stack of documents and walking out.

Zhao Youming was obviously struck dumb the moment he saw Zhao Shunchang. He was snapped out of his daze after some time. He grinned as he shouted, “Uncle.”

Zhao Shunchang had not noticed Zhao Youming. When he heard his shout, he paused mid-stride, turned his head around and sized Zhao Youming up. He was enlightened and said, “You are Youming.”

“Uncle, finally, you remember me, huh?” Zhao Youming smiled as he went up to Zhao Shunchang. “Uncle, when did you come back?”

Zhao Youming had long learned that Zhao Shunchang and his family had gone abroad the moment he returned to his home country. Therefore, he was stunned when he saw Zhao Shunchang just now.

“I just came back. How about you, Youming? When did you return? How about your overseas studies?”

Unlike Sun Fengzhi, Zhao Shunchang was rather pleased with his second older brother’s illegitimate son. In fact, he had a good impression of Zhao Youming.

This was because he found that Zhao Youming was very intelligent and excelled in his studies. As the only two guys in the Zhao family, Zhao Shunchang inevitably compared Zhao Yifei with Zhao Youming. However, the more he compared the two, the more disappointed he was.

Zhao Youming worked hard on his own to study overseas from a young age. As for his own son, he just lazed around doing nothing all the time and had promiscuous relationships with women!

“I came back a few months ago. I’ve finished my courses overseas before the schedule. After thinking it over, I decided to come back to my home country to train up myself.”
