Even though Xia Zhetao grumbled a lot, he kept all this to himself. He knew how and when he should behave himself and so, he did not speak up. It was a suicidal act if he were to provoke Mu Tingfeng at that moment.

After paying the money, Xia Zhetao walked the majestic Tibetan Mastiff and followed Mu Tingfeng closely. As soon as they stepped out of the pet shop, he caught a glimpse of a dark shadow in front of him from the corner of his eyes.

Xia Zhetao braked in a panic. He stopped a step away from the place where Mu Tingfeng had paused. Then, he hurriedly took two steps back.

The moment he raised his head, he saw Mu Tingfeng staring at the teeth marks on his hand that no longer bled. His gaze sent a chill down one’s spine.

Xia Zhetao was a little stunned. It was only then he recalled that Mu Tingfeng’s hand was wounded. Again, he sighed to himself that he was truly shocked by Mrs. President’s feat. Also, it was only now when he realized his superior had been wounded. He hurriedly went up and asked while holding the wild Tibetan Mastiff, “President Mu, do you want to take a trip down to the hospital?”

Only then did Mu Tingfeng avert his gaze from his hand and replied coldly, “No need.”

After that, he paused for a moment, and he resumed, “Have someone check how the bruise on the woman’s hand came to be.”

Xia Zhetao’s mouth was slightly open. He looked like someone had just hit him in the face. Judging on how former Mrs. President had treated President Mu just now, not only did he not have someone to check the former Mrs. President’s water meter, but he also did not think of ways to retaliate against her to make her unable to stay in City S. Instead, he had been staring at the bruise on her arm. ‘President Mu, don’t you think your focus is a little off?!’

Luckily, Xia Zhetao had been working with Mu Tingfeng for many years, and he had experienced great storms. After he was stunned for a few seconds, he faked a cough and replied, “Noted, President Mu.”

Mu Tingfeng did not say more. He continued walking. However, he paused mid-stride after a while once again. He narrowed his eyes and looked at Xia Zhetao behind him. His gaze sent a shiver down his spine.

“P-President Mu… What’s wrong?”

“What did you see in the shop just now…?” Mu Tingfeng’s attractive eyes twitched, and a dangerous glint appeared in his eyes.

Xia Zhetao was trembling, and he nearly lost hold on the dog leash. He replied in a low voice, “N-Nothing… I didn’t see anything… Just now, I saw nothing…”

Xia Zhetao recalled what he saw in the shop. He had been bewitched just now and had wanted to spread all that he saw to the company. However, he almost forgot that as President Mu’s personal assistant, the biggest minefield was not to butt in more than he should. Sobs, would he be killed by his president because he was angry?

After a moment of jittery monologuing to himself, Mu Tingfeng finally showed his mercy for him and averted his gaze.

Unlike what Xia Zhetao had in his mind, in fact, Mu Tingfeng wanted to know if Xia Zhetao saw anything the moment he accidentally pulled down Zhao Youlin’s sweater. After all, apart from himself and his child, Xia Zhetao was the only witness there.

The moment Mu Tingfeng recalled Zhao Youlin’s accidentally exposed skin being seen by another man, he felt inexplicably displeased.

He had never felt like this before. He felt a little strange and excited, yet he did not repel such feelings.

As Mu Tingfeng thought it over, he was brought back to the time when Zhao Youlin bit his hand, and her eyes were filled with stubbornness. His heart quivered.
