My Little Sweet Wife

But in this lifetime, there were only a few women who could really marry their first love. At the time, both of them were very ignorant about love. Maybe they were together because of love, or maybe it was because of their young passions. At least in that failed relationship, Jiang Ruolan learned to cherish and understand what she really wanted.

She had already graduated from the compulsory course of her life.

Jiang Ruolan walked over and placed Xian Zihaoʼs jacket on the back of the couch. She sat beside Yi Meixiu and looked at the melancholy in her eyes, ”Meixiu, we were once best friends, and I have never intended to hide a lot of things from you. In the past month, you were the one who helped distract me, making me feel as if I have gone back in time while we were still in university.”

”When Han Xuegang and I were together, you once said that if Han Xuegang were willing to be ordinary and worked hard step by step, our future would definitely be very good. But at that time, we all thought that menʼs ambitions were too modest.”

Jiang Ruolan spent almost an hour recounting everything that had happened in the last six months, including how Han Xuegang used her and his betrayal, her encounter with Xian Zihao, and some matters in her life, including the wedding, the misunderstanding caused by Zhou Shufen and Xiaoyi.

After listening to all of this, Yi Meixiu became quiet for a long time before she said, ”I didnʼt expect him to become like this. However, a few months ago, Han Xuegang came to F City for his business trip. I heard he went back to look for something at school. At that time, I thought you two were still together, but looking at how you came back, I know you werenʼt together anymore, but I didnʼt dare to ask.”

Jiang Ruolan was stunned and then smiled in relief, ”Of course Iʼm doing very well. There is no absolute in life. Before the end of life comes, no one will know who they will meet next. Because of Han Xuegangʼs betrayal and use, Xian Zihao had given me too much hope and warmth. He pulled out my thorn so that I wouldnʼt have to face those hardships alone.”

”So what you said at the rice noodle shop was true.” Yi Meixiu suddenly sighed. ”But I remember that you were telling it like a joke, and then we even visited that forum. Ruolan, I …”

Yi Meixiu pursed her lips and looked at her for a long time before asking softly, ”Ruolan, between Han Xuegang and Xian Zihao, who is the man that you truly love?”

Jiang Ruolan laughed. ”The question never crossed my mind. Everyone is too young, too lonely, and in need of something, even if it is just something that makes others happy, but unfortunately, love is one of them, and I unluckily came across it.”

”As for your question..” Jiang Ruolan looked out the window at the sunlight. ”Iʼve heard that peopleʼs hearts are like a semicircle, and when they find their better half, that person will be their eternal sunlight.”

”And Xian Zihao...He should be my other half-circle.”

Therefore, when the circle was forcibly torn apart, she would feel pain, but she would not shed another tear to show that she was weak. However, that pain was something she would never be able to forget for the rest of her life.

And when her half-circle was filled up and reformed into a circle without a trace, she realized that this was the feeling of belonging that she hadnʼt felt in a long time.
