My Little Sweet Wife

Jiang Ruolan blushed but she was unable to move away from him. She looked directly at his straight nose and those dark, deep eyes, and a strange sense of reassurance came over her.

Xian Zihao gently held her in his arms and stayed silent for a while. Suddenly, he bent his head and lightly kissed the tip of her nose. Then, a gentle and delicate kiss landed on her lips. It was a gentle kiss.

When Jiang Ruolan raised her head, she noticed a bite mark on Xian Zihaoʼs lips. Her face couldnʼt help but blush again. The two of them seemed to have suddenly gotten closer to each other, and somehow, she felt at ease.

It was as if Xian Zihao belonged solely to her. He was not the aloof and exalted President Xian that was revered by others, nor was he the cold and detached figure who turned around and left before her eyes seven years ago.

Xian Zihao was so good to her and it made Jiang Ruolan want to touch him and hug him back to see if he was real.

She could see that he had been trying to reassure her with every word and action since she had woken up drunk and with a fever of forty degrees last night.

Xian Zihao seemed to know the reason for her departure without a word, the fear that hid in her heart, and he tried his best to soothe all the wounds she had suffered for so many years.

Suddenly, the sound of a text message came out of the bedroom, breaking the harmonious atmosphere in the living room. Jiang Ruolan was stunned and was about to get up to take a look, but who knew that Xian Zihao would not let her go?

”Iʼm going to take a look at my phone.” Jiang Ruolan was struggling slightly.

”Maybe 10086.¹ ” He said lightly.

Jiang Ruolanʼs mouth twitched. ”Even if itʼs 10086, it may be very important! Let me take a look!”

Finally, Xian Zihao let go of her and watched her run into the bedroom with one hand covering the towel on her forehead and the other trying to pull down the hem of her dress that had just covered her buttocks.

Jiang Ruolan checked her phone and saw that it was a text from Qin Gengxin.

ʼIʼll go home on Monday afternoon. Letʼs have dinner together in the evening,ʼ he said. In the end, he even added a line to sign it: ”— Your beloved Gengxin.”

Jiang Ruolan blushed in embarrassment. Just when she was about to reply, she suddenly felt a shadow appear behind her. She turned around and saw Xian Zihao standing by the bedroom door behind her with a meaningful look on his face.

He raised his eyebrows and smiled gently, so gently that Jiang Ruolan couldnʼt help but shiver.

She put down the towel on her forehead and raised her hand to touch her forehead. Jiang Ruolan felt that she shouldnʼt reply to this message. It would be better to pretend that she didnʼt see it.

Just as she was thinking, her phoneʼs ringtone suddenly hooted in her hand. Her eyelids jumped slightly as she lowered her head to look at the name displayed, causing her scalp to suddenly tingle.

”Why donʼt you answer?” Xian Zihao asked in a soft voice, pretending to be unconcerned as he leaned against the door.
