An innocent and refreshing figure walked over, Lin Shiyu had just returned from running her errands.

“Mo’er, here’s what you wanted.” Lin Shiyu handed Tang Mo’er a small plastic bag. It contained a pregnancy test kit.

“Shiyu, thanks.”

“Mo’er, are you wearing the… Star of the Ocean?” Lin Shiyu’s lucid gaze landed on Tang Mo’er’s beautiful neck.

Star of the Ocean?

All women had an innate love towards jewelry, this was especially the case for female stars who had done some research in the field of diamonds and renowned jewelry brands. Tang Mo’er was no exception, there was no way she did not know of the Star of the Ocean. It was the everlasting classic in the world of diamonds.

“What? This is the Star of the Ocean?”

Tang Mo’er was in shock, she quickly realized that something wasn’t right and turned her head to look at Lin Ruoxi, An Shuangshuang and Han Xiaowan. Their necks were bare. She was the only one wearing a diamond necklace.

Oh no, she had walked right into a trap!

A group of people walked over from afar, CEO Wan came up to her with a stern look on his face. “Miss Tang, why is the Star of the Ocean around your neck?”

Tang Mo’er tried to calm herself down despite the fluttering nerves in her chest. “CEO Wan, the Star of the Ocean was already on the dresser when I entered the dressing room. I assumed that this was a sponsored piece that was arranged for me to wear…”

Everyone around started to talk and she could hear the mocking jeers scattered around the groupー

“Does Tang Mo’er think we’re idiots? Who in their right mind would loan out the Star of the Ocean to a celebrity as a prop?”

“I’m certain Tang Mo’er stole it. She was either trying to steal it or to attract attention, she is truly desperate for the fame. Honestly, using such extreme measures… how shameless!”

Tang Mo’er felt that she had suddenly become the public’s greatest enemy.

Steady footsteps were heard and Gu Mohan’s strong figure appeared.

Just like a royal king with his army, he was followed by a group of subordinates. He placed both hands in his trouser pockets and gave her an insincere glance.

That glance was cold and at the same time, full of judgement.

Huo Beichen and Lu Qi’er were standing behind him. It was immediately clear that he had brought Lu Qi’er to the bar for a drinking session last night and that they had arrived together.

A policeman clad in full uniform walked in front of Gu Mohan to seek further instruction, “Mr Gu, shall we arrest Tang Mo’er as a suspect?”

Tang Mo’er’s heart sank, if she were to be arrested into the police station, she would definitely be convicted for stealing the Star of the Ocean.

Who was the culprit who placed the Star of the Ocean in her dressing room? This plan was truly evil!

Tang Mo’er turned her head and scanned the room, her eyes falling on Han Xiaowan. A vindictive smirk graced Han Xiaowan’s features, as thought she was waiting to watch the drama unfold.

The Star of the Ocean was definitely placed in her dressing room by Han Xiaowan.

Damn it, she would settle her scores with Han Xiaowan if it was the last thing she did!

Lin Shiyu then discreetly pulled Tang Mo’er’s sleeve and remind her softly, “Mo’er, what are you waiting for? Don’t you realize that Gu Mohan can change your fate, just by saying a single sentence.”

Tang Mo’er pouted her cherry red lips and looked at Gu Mohan.

Gu Mohan wasn’t making a move, he didn’t ask for the police to arrest her, but also did not do anything to help her. His deep and narrow eyes landed on her tiny, beautiful face and he looked at her with a coldness that made her shiver.

Lin Ruoxi then spoke, “Brother Mohan, why is Tang Mo’er wearing the Star of the Ocean? You have to investigate this incident thoroughly and request for the police to arrest her.”

“Brother Mohan, I believe that Miss Tang didn’t do this. There must be some misunderstanding, but the best thing for her to do now is to cooperate with the police in order to prove her innocence.” Lu Qi’er hurriedly added on.

Tang Mo’er’s clear and watery eyes turned cold at their corroborated act. It seemed Lu Qi’er and Lin Ruoxi finally couldn’t hold it in and were collaborating to send her to the police station.

Everyone was waiting for Gu Mohan’s instructions, the venue was completely quiet.

Gu Mohan moved his thin lips to speak. Everyone leaned forward unconsciously, anticipating his decision, when an unidentified object was thrown towards him.
