Rebirth in the 90s: Her Counterattack and Redemption

Ye Mo smiled apologetically: ”I’m sorry, it’s an order from above. If Mr. Yodan doesn’t need them, you may contact my superiors. I personally don’t have the authority to withdraw them.”

Noda Song shrugged: ”Alright then, but I don’t want them to interfere with my private life.”

Ye Mo nodded: ”Without your permission, they won’t enter your room on their own. Their main responsibility is to ensure the safety of both you and Miss Hikari during outings.”

”That’s good, thank you, Mr. Ye. Hikari, let’s go back to the room to rest.” Noda Song said, turning to enter his room.

Feng Qing whispered in Luo Ye’s ear: ”See, he turns face pretty fast.”

”You all, if anything comes up, notify me anytime. Stay alert.” Ye Mo reminded them before turning to leave.

The ten people (including the pair of bodyguards for Noda Song’s father and daughter) stood at the door looking at each other, the crowd at the door seemed a bit too grand.

Normally, the protectors and those being protected are supposed to stay in the outer room of the suite, yet Noda Song unexpectedly shut everyone out.

”Clack!” Noda Hikari’s room door opened, she smiled sweetly at them: ”I’m very sorry, but my father doesn’t like outsiders disturbing him. How about everyone come into my room?”

”No, no, we’re fine waiting outside.” Cui Xuetao, who was at the front, quickly waved her hands to refuse.

”Clack!” The door to the adjoining room suddenly opened. ”Come in.” Noda Song didn’t even look at them, just turned and walked into the inner room, leaving Zhan Hao and the others looking at each other, unsure whether to go in or not.

Noda Hikari smiled sweetly again: ”Everyone, please come in. My father’s agreement is implied.” Then she turned to the female team members, ”Please come in.”

At the door to the inner room, Noda Hikari looked at Luo Ye: ”Miss Luo, could you come inside with me?”

”Sure.” Luo Ye responded and followed her in.

After closing the door, Noda Hikari looked Luo Ye up and down: ”Miss Luo, I’ve heard about you before, but honestly, you’re just so-so!”

Luo Ye gave a faint smile: ”Sorry to disappoint you, Miss Noda.”

Noda Hikari’s eyes showed surprise: ”Aren’t you curious to know who told me about you?”

Luo Ye spread her hands: ”Probably someone who doesn’t like me, nothing curious about that.”

Noda Hikari pointed to the bathroom: ”You, assist me in bathing.”

”That’s not within my job scope. I’m your secretary, not a life secretary.” Luo Ye shook her head in refusal, standing immobile.

Noda Hikari smiled smugly: ”I want to make a change, you’re now my life secretary. I am the guest, I have the right to amend this.”

”First speak to my superiors. If they agree, I will be your life secretary.” Luo Ye said as she left the room.

”You...” Noda Hikari stomped in anger and picked up the phone on the table to call Yoda Song: ”Dad, I want Luo Ye to be my life secretary, please arrange it.”

Outside, Feng Qing leaned towards Luo Ye and whispered: ”What’s going on?”

Luo Ye spread her hands: ”Doesn’t seem like there’s anything specific, but I’m definitely sensing she’s a friend of someone who doesn’t like me, and they’re thinking up ways to mess with me.”

Feng Qing’s eyes gleamed: ”Such a coincidence?”

”Yeah.” Luo Ye pouted, ”This is precisely the perfect chance for revenge, considering our job nature dictates we try to endure whatever is said by the other party. Tell me, where else do you find such perfect opportunities?”

”Who could it be?” Feng Qing furrowed his brows, ”Someone with the opportunity to know such friends...” Suddenly, he slapped his forehead, ”Could it have something to do with Qiao Xiaowan?”

Luo Ye nodded: ”Can’t rule out that possibility. Thinking it over carefully, the only person who’s got a grudge with me and has the capability would be Qiao Xiaowan. However, I don’t really think she did it; currently, she doesn’t have that kind of opportunity.”

Feng Qing blinked: ”Are you suggesting it could be the Lian Family?”

”Maybe.” Luo Ye waved her hand, ”Guessing won’t do us any good, seems like this task is going to be a test this time.”

”By the way, what did she want you to do?” Feng Qing asked curiously.

”Help her bathe.”

”Uhh...” Feng Qing paused, ”That seems to fall under my scope of work.”

”Correct, seems like we might need to swap duties...”

As soon as Luo Ye finished that sentence, the room door opened and Cui Xuetao immediately greeted: ”Miss Noda, is there anything you need?”
